{quote} If you mean which TF do you manage a trade from. You should manage it from the TF you entered on or if you have walked it up a TF the higher of the 2). A good example is below. The first chart is H4 the second exactly the same time and pair but H1 entry was made on H4 at first blue APB above DOL. If you looked at the H1 to manage your H4 trade where would you have exited. {image} {image}
Ignored
Thanks Lookleft. If I had to go by H1 I would have exited at the BRN of 161.000
But on the other hand if I stayed on with H4 wearing my blinders, I would stay on with the trade and look to see how our dear TDI behaves or misbehaves.
In fact this is probably a scenario where having multiple lots at entry help. I can close 1 lot, and move the SL of the other to BE and wait and watch.

{quote} Implemnt what Big E , Green above Red and a potential TDI bounce or what Phx62 have shown in his books based on MBL trending up, use whatever u like, PA had forms a new structure high or HH, followed by Higher Lows too, while PA was forming Higher Lows TDI green and red were stornly north, so that top that acted as resitence , was only a confirmation of longs trades and based on TDI was meant to be broekn Sup and Res are meant to be broken too, that dosent mean go trade agaist em, just check if they forms a double tops, triple tops, or they...

Thanks. I do understand that there more than 1 way to get to this and you have very succinctly put it here.

Partially closing a trade can have a mental benefit for traders as well as a financial one. A lot of traders, me for one, will partially close a trade after a certain number of pips and bank some profit leaving the rest of the trade to run as effectively a free trade. There are EAs that can do all this for you, Cavemanager being one, which can save you staring at the screen and wondering what to do and when.
If you look at the 2 charts I posted they also show a method of getting into a 4H trade if you missed the initial move

Far better to stick to the major pairs until you have plenty of experience. Remember, successful trading isn't about collecting pips but collecting $ and there is a big difference.

Don't see a great deal wrong with the actual entry point there Kilns, but I'm still 'breaking in' my TMS eye at the moment.

What I would say is the entry candle is one with short body and long wicks either side, if you look back at when these type of candles appear, market can often enter a period of consolidation afterwards so you might have to watch this one for a while.

Hope it works out for you.

Just to show that you don't need to chase big pips (they'll come to you) my set and forget (bread and butter) trades on a couple of pairs I watch.
Basic TMS entries although the EURGBP where taken on a lower TF then managed on H1.
I'll be watching GBPUSD tomorrow as it has still got room to move up before the dreaded FED speeches.
If you trade GBPUSD and EURUSD it is always worth watching EURGBP and you'll see something interesting

In short, the bull bounce was better than that bull cross. Trading with the trend. And if you see a range, trade 32 to 68, 68 to 32. That's all there is to it newbies!

USDCHF H4 SELL

This is a bounce trade. The TDI has bounced off the red signal line.
Do you think this trade will work ?
