In my humble almost 11 years of trading experience, it is amazing how vile and vicious this forum has become. Don't take anything anybody says on this or any other forums as absolute Gospel. I wish posters used IMHO or IMHE more in their posts. I admit there is information overload here for newbies. You got a variety of experienced traders here sharing their valuable insights. I don't care if they trade demo or mini lots, just take any useful insight from what the are trying to share here. Try BigE's (RIP) way of trading or lastingwell's MTF TDI...

Agree 100% in addition want to add that much effort is required to get better in trading and my evolution as a trader is continuous.
Instead of being appreciative its easier shifting the responsibility of trading on others.
There are many nuggets on this thread but its up to you to see it.
One remarkable trader Griffinsoul has picked up things from me with incredible ease and understanding that is baffling. Its a testament that having the right attitude is critical.
This goes from my side as well I took lot of things from others as well and synthesized in my trading. Nobody is obliged to "teach" its a human characteristic to share.
What you take from this thread is what you are able to take.

{quote} Lastingwell, please don't lose your enthusiasm for this thread, I always see plenty of people viewing it whenever I get the chance to look at it. There is much really useful information here for us newbies, but as it is a more wide-ranging thread than MrAussies it takes a lot to digest the first time you see many of these tips. Thus if there are not many posts as you might have hoped for it is probably because us newbies are still making sense of some of it. For example Davits pivots look like a very useful and complimentary indicator, but...

SHAME, another EGO thread! This thread having "TMS" in its title is an INSULT to the memory of BigE, and to be called "TMS for Newbies 2" is an insult to MrAussieFX!! MrAussieFX had wonderful intentions to teach the simplified version of the BigE's TMS, put so much effort into it, and it was destroyed by some of the same people here that can only BRAG what great traders they are, how many pips they make in their little demo accounts. Having charts that don't even resemble ANYTHING that BigE worked so hard to develop and perfect, and gave us!

60% trading is psychological and I suggest you seriously work on your attitude.Think of art class when 15 students are drawing the same model.
Would you expect exact 15 copies of same model? Not even close but subject "the model" would be there.

Always great to read a psychology post from you Davit

I would definitely enjoy spending more time on FF if more people had the "Get the attitude right, the rest will follow" mentality

I am an artist a painter. That's my passion in addition to trading. Its remarkable how teaching drawing to others has same principles as trading.
Trading to me is an ART not a science. This is why mechanical systems can't ever be the same. They will always be variations because we trade who we are.I see TMS in context of fibs S/R and great tool for range trading.Perhaps why almost all my trades are counter-trend...70% forex is in a range and once this is understood deeply then opens up huge possibilities.
I'll share example one my latest series on birds.Love crows because their intelligence is remarkable almost human.

Just placed a short on GBPUSD. Reasons: Failed to make a Higher High, Cross on TDI at the 50 level, MBL pointing and moving down, H&S pattern? (even though the left shoulder looks broken), momentum on Heiken Ashi candles and bounce off R38 level. SL: 39pips 1.5xATR(H1) TP: 39 pips 1.5xATR(H1) which is also BRN(1.42000) All advice will be appreciated. {image}

Apologies for not taking picture on entry.
PCRF (in ellipse) off 200ema around London Open in direction of trend. TDI had not crossed yet when I entered but saw enough of these when watching Phx62.
Out for +31 on approaching resistance marked with arrow on H4 chart.

If taking an h4 trade I don't go against D1 and thats still looking very bearish. Your H4 tdi is also way below the 32 mark which also shows very bearish so its not one that I would take on H4.

Noted LW.

Maybe I'll cancel the buy stop order and watch from the sidelines on this one.

I've not been as profitable on H4 as H1 hence my putting this out for comment.
