Took about 2 days to run this, i downloaded the tick data from tickstory. As we can see the ea survived because it had a good start, if it had encountered some of the big DD at an earlier stage account would have been wiped. Lot size 0.1 used.

Hi Mjma01,

Please note that when using MAs, the EA will become Time Frame Dependent.
The same applies to any other indicator that uses time frame as one of its inputs (e.g. RSI, MACD, ADX .... etc).

From my experience and development of many grid EAs, all Grid EAs will loose at some point in time.

This is what I highlighted in the earlier pages of this thread. In order for a system to survive and be consistently profitable it must have an edge.

I use Grid EAs as tools not systems, so I apply them on specific times and pull them off at other times.

I appreciate your time spent on developing these tools, which I assume you want members to test out in order to find the "no loss trading system".
I thought you already have found one !

You said earlier that you code MQL, but I find it strange that you spend so much time on developing these extra tools instead of developing an EA that resembles your idea as you're the one who understand it the most.

Playing around with the file reveals that Method 2 doesn't open lot of trades. Hence drawdown is small. Trends is my friend as type of trades are opened in the direction of the trends; if DOWN trend SELL trades and UPTREND BUY trades.

With such a scenario, I would also agree Method 2 is BETTER!!

The Metatrader/MetaEditor4 Debugger Not Help To Test The Code,

I Will Test The Code In VB6 And Convert It To MQL4 Code After That.
