thanks GOD, Amen... You can test all you want.. Selling Trend won't work in the long run...

Hello Guys i am testing the new AGP 02 last version posted, but it has only opened the first 2 trades the buy and sell and nothing after that.
Can some tell me is there something wrong with my settings.

Screen shots below of my settings and charts.

settings:
Account size $1000 usd

Lot size 0.01
Step size 500
Start Hour 0
Floating Profit Close 50.0

This Is The Visual Virtual Tester,

I Made It To Test This Strategy Like On The Paper,
Because Testing On Metatrader Will Lead To Wrong Results,

And This Tester Can Work On Real Prices Or Our Up And Down Button Hits.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong but in the example that you have presented with only 2 buys trades, as the market moves up, both buy trades and sell trades would open where your actual only losses would be your pip spread. Profits would take when the PA finally retraces with the sell positions and top sell positions will take out your bottom loser of the grid once the retrace profit has been calculated as per the mathematical formula of the strategy.

Am I wrong anybody?

This one here is not opening new sell positions as PA moves up.

I see the same phenomena on my forward test and I guess we shall see new sell trades ONLY when price moves above the highest BUY trade...

I would like to reflect to the above mentioned scenario. You are right about it, as Remon has already confiremed it.

However, if the market had a MAJOR upmove (e.g. 200 pips) WITHOUT ENOUGH retracements to close toxic sell trades during the upmove, then those "naked" (not hedged) sell trades can cause major DD.

Probably they could/would be closed when the market settles in "ranging mode", but until it happens the monetary DD could be significant which will probably come up on backtests of the final EA.

This is why I can't stress enough to use large grids. Take less of the risk. Open less positions. It does take less profit but you'll reduce your DD and might be able to trade more lots as compensation. A 200 pip move doesn't worry me as it is only a short trend. What would worry me is much longer trends.
