Hello,

Took EUR/GBP put earlier on H1 chart and closed it for 20 pips profit.

Sorry that this chart is not very professional and clear. Taking trades on my phone and cannot use MT4

Hi all

A quick update on GC I placed recently ref chart attached.

As I mentioned, it was doing ok but struggling to break a resistance level, and after several tests it made it to tp1 for +120. What I did then was take some more off the table from the 2 remaining positions, and adjusted those 2 stops to leave the trade in a breathable but safe condition. Of course it's tempting to take everythng now, but the thing is I'm now in the perfect position to control what I do on these trades because I have the equity already banked, and equally important is that I have kept the stops at a reasonable and breathable position as I said. PA will now be the key to whether I close out early or let them continue to run.

Opportunities to trade exist all day long in all t/fs, and it isn't possible to trade everything we see as a set-up. I have a few ongoing trades as we speak, and I attach a Gold chart in this instance which has triggered my shorts essentially using the same methods that I've outlined in the posts. Naturally not all work out as planned, and Gold as you probably know is a tough one to predict it's behaviour, and often seems to have a mind of it's own, defying all the logic, so it's not a pair I trade often for those reasons so it's one to be wary of for me.

I will be happy to post charts and comments so long as they transmit something useful to anyone viewing

What I think is equally important to quantity of charts if not more is the quality of a post/chart/comment instead. We unfortunately see so many charts without clear explanations which can become confusing and even more so for the less experienced traders, and it almost seems like we have to be a mind-reader on occasions lol.

So it would be good if anyone posting could give some basic details of their rationale in future if it is not obvious from their chart, hopefully including their reasons along with

a) Trade direction
b) Entry,
c) s/l (if used)
d) t/p level (if used)

Trade size is not needed

Those are my suggestions Daniel to improve the quality for all viewers and hope you take my comments in the constructive spirit it is meant, but I appreciate it is your thread not mine.

Hello Daniel,

I like your strategy of following two trend lines and while I follow Ichimoku and want to incorporate trend lines too I am encouraged to post here today.

The thick red horizontal line represents the break I am looking for on the 15 min chart before I sell. I believe for this week EUR/JPY is trending down.

My first target will be 121.80 which is Support 1 on the Daily .

So we wait and see.

May I ask though how you propose to use t/ls in your strategy, because at the moment I can only see a horizontal line acting as your trigger point.

Hello Landline and Daniel,

This is my first attempt at drawing lines. First let me say that I believe that EUR/JPY is in a downtrend both monthly and weekly. So on the hourly chart keeping it simple the green horizontal lines represent support/resistance points.

Then I drew a trendline at the bottom of the uptrend and one on the top of the downtrend and when these lines break I either sell or buy.
For example I as I said in my first chart I would sell now and place a stop at Point A ( 123.32 ) or B ( 123.11 ) which is also the Pivot point on the Daily at this time and target my first target at 121.80 which is Support 1 on the Daily.

Please let me have your thoughts

Some may have got involved on the short Gold I posted earlier...well done if you did. I've taken tp1 now and taken a healthy slice from tp2 + tp3 and as usual adjusted my stops on those remaining position using exactly the same princples as I explained earlier.
