what do you mean exactly in term of risk? in % it is always 1%, in pips it is between 20-40p. 20 pips are rare, avarage 30, dont like 40. i would love to put to small stop as you, but i dont feel comfortable yet...is this "feel" the problem?

I don't always use a set risk % I have one as a maximum but, I tend to place my stops where my reason for entry is no longer valid plus a little extra, so quite often this will be much closer than a percentage risk would be but this is also account size related of course.

you need to be comfortable with your stops which means being comfortable with your entries, so you should work with what feel right for you

thanks! i am also wondering about your entry today. i entered when i saw a break below pivot. what triggered you entry since we were above pivot? I noticed that you dont just blindly follow "be in the direction where price is compared to pivot(long above, short below)". Why is that the case? because fundamentally dollar has the advantage atm? and what has to change fundamentally for you that is good enough to star longing?
