this is counter trend and therefore more risky, so I reduce my lot size calculation to 0.1% using ADR 100 days.
we have Canadian data release today during NY session.... big one

EURCAD H4 trade: {image}
I'm looking at the EURCAD based on the trade you just shared and the TDI seems to be hooking over on the 4H. However, the 1 Hour TF shows a possible bearish cross but since we are above the MBL on the 1H, does that validate short term bullish momentum?

Look at D1 chart. There is reaction at BRN and recent support seen to the left.
And this week, price was driven down to 1.5200 ahead of the data release today.
We shall see how the market will fill the stop/limit orders later.

Welcome to TMS.
You have taken the big decision to start your trading journey. You won't be alone as there are many on this same journey.
Keep your trading charts they way they are now and you will get up there. The view on the way up is fantastic. There are milestone to reach, and you may 'trip and fall', along the way up but you won't roll down because there will others who will stop you. I have been up, fallen many times and there was always someone to catch me, I am still climbing.

Read Big E' Post#647 and interpret what he said in that post on your trading charts.
"Am I in or close to a consolidation area"
and look at the TDI Green line when it goes outside the blue band VB, and re-enters the VB and that H1 WRB appears... danger lurks (hidden) in that WRB.

Saw this just now on USDCHF, picked up some regular divergence with the TDI on the 1H. The candle is pretty bearish at the moment but we'll see about that when it closes. Am I missing anything?
