I will never get this, traditionally when people are scared they run for dollar not the other way round. OK EUR now is funding currency we all know it but still I am a little thick headed I guess.

You can easily get caught on the wrong side while the market is moving hundred pips. For me, it is best to stick with the direction I have on mind. But we all trade differently.

it's an illusion...all currencies are collapsing...it just happens that the dollar is falling faster than the euro leading to the rates you see

My only guess is OIl collapse is dragging the markets and mice are running away from dollar.

I love the fact that Yellen publicly has to respond/explain/justify to somebody as compared to when Draghi speaks publicly (I know their mandates are different but their positions are equivalent).
just an observation
don't get in love with pairs ... up or down is the same pip value

What is baffling is OPEC is pumping record output while demand is shrinking and price of crude falling.
In most basic business sense one should strive self preservation but apparently Oil producers are aiming to kill each other

This is Arab war on US for lifting sanctions on Iran.That totally changed everything in the region.
Our president just gave 100b to Iran while they actively support rebels and have their special forces on the ground whom we are waging a war.Best of Obama I guess.
The logic of providing funds to your enemy to fight you harder is beyond logic and common sense.

I am sure many of us have seen worse. The biggest fuck up I have on my mind is when SnB made the decision of EUR/CHF cap @1.20 in 2011 and last year in January.
