I didn't say i cant pick it up on my own... I just said you've got to start from somewhere. Sorry if you misunderstood or i typed it wrong but explain to me where you learnt from? looking at charts for hours on end or reading online what someone else has written? yeah okay you can get the basics online from places such as baby pips, but to go further you look for people who are good at what they do... see things in common and pick things up, add it in to what you like if you understand it and it only betters your way of thinking. Correct me if I'm wrong but i dont see becoming exceptional at trading something you just learn by yourself, everyone would be doing it if that was the case because it would be easy and everything would be obvious... i didn't see what Goldfinch saw on my last trade and i just asked if he could give a little insight to me, again i took some initiative and asked politely, no harm in trying.​

Ill note that one down, and its not a matter of me just relying on someone else's method of trading, its just surrounding myself with other good traders gather up more info and trade how I want to trade based on what i think is going to happen, increase probabilities etc etc. and i will get to where i want to be in trading no matter what other people say to me. I was fortunate enough to have an internship with a group of "pro" forex traders out of college. Yes they taught me a lot but the most important was developing my own system. Everyone trades in different styles, charting and margin. if I could recommend anything to you - is find local groups or meet ups of likeminded individuals and of course read all you can but religiously refine your personal system. It's hard to express everything properly over the inter webs I wish you the best.

unless uj gets above 115.54. the chances of eu dropping much past 1161/35 are slimmer st

this is exactly what my point was, its going to be best to spend time with people who are good at what they do and can prove it, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding but I wouldn't rely on any individuals single way of trading.

Believe me ive spent time with someone who did exactly this and got me into trading... also being from the UK you would probably know him. That person who could make 100k a week may also have been as young as me and asked to spend time with experts to gain some knowledge, 10 years down the line he earning 100k a week... developing and learning the whole way. Just like the way idea that everyone trades differently, everyone has different reasons for helping and not helping those who ask and show initiative. there will always be people to ask for help and guidance in the early days. and sure id be willing to offer help if someone asked me, but hey each to their own.​

Sounds like you should be knocking on this guys door. Get him coffee run errands while he banks 100k a week then have him give you tips and coach you. Bam, just solved world hunger.

Seeing as my post triggered that 15/30 TF discussion, and I'm still in very early learning days as well, I looked back at the charts and I guess I can add this new (for me) insight ..obviously correct me if I'm wrong.

If you trade within a time frame, trade WITHIN that timeframe (and/or lower) As you correctly pointed out, it looked that way in M5 (even more so lower) when it wasn't. At the same time if someone ONLY took M5 and lower into consideration for setting TP/SL at the time without being greedy they could probably scalp that 10 pip drop without getting burnt...

And why do you not think it is possible... someone has a 5mil account two trades in a week could easily be 100k...maybe you don't think its possible because you haven't seen it yet?
