That was exactly my first thought when I read about it. Then I read about the orders for new trucks. If people are buying over the Internet, trucks have to be doing the delivering to central storage locations, even for Amazon. But new truck orders are tanking.

Really? You really think even a scam broker can save drawdown like that.

All trades can be verified against the market.

Even so, statistically, that account is done as is, is done.

It went up on way fewer instruments traded, and caught some good moves up.

However, now with all that diversification going down, any up moves will be diversified as well. The only thing that has been done, is that now, any potential winners will be averaged up as well. Instead of being able to catch a major move in a specific pair, the power of focus has been watered down.

If the account had skyrocketed with all those instruments in place in the first place, then the equity loss would be averaging down now and it wouldn't look so bad, which is part of what he is trying to accomplish I think. Not only does he want to capture all possible moves, he wants to average down his losses as well. You can't have it both ways. Less risk = less loss/less gain. More risk = more loss/more gain.

Unfortunately because what could have been a fairly good idea has been very poorly implemented and not executed from the beginning, this account is basically doomed and will not be able to get back that equity over $100k or whatever it was over that. It's pure statistics at this point. All that has been done now is that the power of the original method/strategy has been doused with diversification. Less risk/less loss/less gain. It's nearly statistically and methodologically impossible it to gain back what it lost.

Better off to throw in the towel, and pull 7k out, and start fresh with the new ideas firmly implemented in place with a new 1k account FRESH, and/or run variations of the idea spread out in 3 or 4 or 5 different accounts and EAs.

As it is now, all that has been done, is that the loss has been slowed a bit, but will get eaten up in transaction costs across the board. All those instruments holding long term trades will generate higher carry charges and higher spreads that could have been used to generate bigger positions in more liquid and currently more volatile majors.

Based on your comments it seems you want to see him crash and burn. There are many here who snicker to see that.

I don't want to see anyone crash and burn with real money and significant sums. From a social viewpoint, where he lives, that kind of money is a lifetime of work for several families, not just "speculative capital" for a trader with some far out ideas.

Very sad. It's not pretty either way.

Unfortunately we all can pretty much surmise that the account is done as is.

Better for him to start from scratch if he has something he wants to publicly prove.

This would also help pinpoint areas of the strategy/method/ea that need re-conceptualizing.

As it is now, unfortunately, all that it is doing is providing a sick form of entertainment for the "herd" here.

You don't understand, he's posting the equity of the account he's taking money FROM. It's all profit into his real account, he promised us.

don't be sol easily fooled... it is very unlikely to be a real account, he is promoting his trading services and the brokerage

what beats me is why FF have not made him a commercial member when he clearly states that he offers trading services...
