You shouldn't be trading such small moving averages w/o a higher period MA or trendline. If you would add a 55MA (or whatever these folks are using ((I don't trade this system)) to your chart you would see ALL of these trades were AGAINST the major trend.

I bet you are using 30 minute charts arent you? I also bet you aren't using the Vegas tunnel either. If I am correct about one of these questions, then you know my answer.

You have already gone to the trouble of putting RSI on your charts so why not use it? If you had, you would not have taken half the trades listed as RSI never crossed below 50 to go short.

Also, read the first page where Sidus has a pdf listed of his method. It will help you to add on the two lagging moving averages and then only take a trade once the 5/12 has crossed the 18/28.

Sorry Money,

I guess I didn't even read this post. I would have to disagree with fxgorrila and say yes to you. Especially if you use the Vegas tunnel. Thats all I have about it though since there are so many differant ways of people trading this method.

Yeah,

I shorted cable "live" at 1.8955 around 11:20 am today (Monday); current bid is around 1.8940. Only problem was I missed the post about SL of 15 is too close; got stopped out around noon. Don't really care because I'm glad the "short" read was a good read at that point.

Hi everybody I am new

I know SIDUS only tested his method on two specific pairs, but what do you guys think about the EUR/AUD ?

To me it looks like it is getting ready for a major SHORT action.

It is at very high levels anyways, plus I already see some crossings there. The RSI is also touching the line.....interesting play IMO.

Bye

thanks for reply.
I know what you think renasdad, that i have no idea and that i want to make money as fast as possible. But thats not true.
I dealed a lot with it and read all documents.
1.Ok you said that you're sure that i use 30min timeframe. Yes, i do, shouldnt i?
I use the boga/sidus method like it is described here:
http://www.freewebs.com/sidusmethod/method.html

2. Sure, i use vegas 1h. But what has the v1h to do with entry points? I thought only 30min 5/12ema rsi21 are important for entry.

imbiber, iam not wrong, you are wrong; all down arrows are correct. If you zoom into rsi, you will see that the rsi line is beneath the 50lvl-line.
Furthermore i dont know what you mean with "adding the two moving averages". I added all mas as described in the link above. And isnt it right to say that you first enter when bogas system becomes "active" and then go on with sidus/vegas methods?

Thank you for your already posted and hopefully yet forthcoming comments.
Greetings
mike

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for posting (especially those people who pop'd on and said "Hey this sort of looks like this, go read xyz").

Also, could someone kindly point me in the right direction to setting up an EA in the MT4 software. I have been having a hard time getting that started. (I did get the EMA and WMA's all set up and moving right along..)

kind regards,
H. Bart

Read the PDF in the first post of this thread. You must add the 18/28 exponential moving average as these are very much an integral part of the Sidus method.

I don't follow or use the bago method. What I do is when the 5 crosses the 12 I take note but do not enter. I then see if the 5 and the 12 are going to cross the 18 and 28. If they do cross up and are above the 100 EMA I go long and vice versa for short. I do bend the rules from time to time though on the 100 EMA.

renasdad, bango, you use a slightly different method. What do you think is better at yours and why? Could you in detail write what you do other, because iam somehow a bit confused now. It seems that i put many strategies together
Thank you all.

I actually use the 30 minute chart and normally only buy when the 12 EMA crosses the 28 EMA above the 100 EMA as this, to me, is a very strong sign of a new trend but I will take a long trade sometimes if the 12 cross of the 28 is below the 100, just depends.

I can tell you how I did it. Open the code in the editor and save it as...(name) to program files/strategyfxbuilder(or metatrader, depends what version did you download)/expert advisors/indicator. Then close the platform and reopen. I should be in the custom indicators.

Okay, enuf already!!!

Long cable on paper last night; 100 pips by the morning. Later in the morning, went short on retracement at 1.8955 (but stopped out due to dumb insufficient 15 pip stop loss). A more reasonable sl of 35, and the short is still running, just now touched 1.8920.

And since 34 is a fib, seems like a good place to TP (that I missed because of the 15 pip sl).

Hello Future,

I'm currently testing THE ORIGINAL Sidus methodology on ALL pairs. Yesterday there were 6 entries based on the method.

GBPUSD long (EURUSD also)
GBPCHF short (which ended up turning around)
USDJPY short (which ended up turning around)
USDCHF short
USDCAD short (which ended up turning around)
GPBJPY long

ALL TRADES WENT POSITIVE.

As for the EURAUD, i've been stalking the pair for the last few days. If you look at the daily or 4H chart, you can see gorgeous PREDICTABLE oscillations. You're right, we appear to be at the top of such an oscillation now. If it follows it's previous pattern, it could be a 250 to 300 pip tankage.

There is a negative divergence on the hourly MACD too. Looking for MA crosses on the 1H for an entry.

best,
forexpips

Thanks Yardie. I'll check that out.

I got a signal on the USDJPY to go long so I entered at 115.745. SL of 30 pips. TP is at 116.10 (first fib line above tunnel). I will be taking all profit at this point as, it seems, I will not be awake as this trade plays out.

Cheers,
