Tried to short at 9332 but FXCM not taking orders again. Always happens at key times. Very annoying.

These trades are an attempt to scalp of lower timeframes. Not delivering. There will be much better opportunities

I'm really liking the look of the Dow for the long side now. I think if we get a horrible NFP number tomorrow it'll go straight to 17,000 and perhaps beyond.

I hardly dare post my latest Dax short..

9463 with SL-5. This shorter timeframe stuff takes some mastering.

DOW's made new high CCI hasn't followed suit on a few time frames... crazy market tho... anything could happen.

I need to stop and look at those ridiculous trades I did earlier whilst I still have some energy for it. Its so important to learn from your mistakes so I will do that. Meanwhile this is the chart I used for taking that last one. Its an Islander ideawith 4 point Renko and Heiken Ashi. I threw the stoch in just to see how it behaves. I was comfortable with the signal it gave as it aligned with my normal rules, namely a key support and resistance level, evidence of sellers coming in, reinforced by divergence and Dow stalling and turning. Charts in a bit I think (but not of those earlier embarrassing trades....)

I've make exclusively scalping trades today.
I think it's not the time for swinging trades anf if then with minor risk.

What the markets are looking for right now is a sign from the Fed that there are no more interest rate hikes on the table, for now. Remember, this is a stock market on steroids, there's no fundamental economic growth in the US right now, it is all illusory, in fact, I think the 1st quarter GDP, combined with a downward revision of last year's 4th quarter GDP, will show that the US is in recession already. The Fed has backed itself into a tight corner by raising interest rates into a weakening economy - they ahd a chance to raise them two years ago when the numbers were better, they should've, but they didn't. As they have been talking about raising rates for so long, not raising them in Dec would've been an admission that the economy was in big trouble, so they went ahead and raised them by 0.25 basis points. What was the result? The markets tanked - the worst 1st 1/4 start to the markets ever. If we get a good jobs number, Yellen will have no alternative than to point to more rates hikes this year, and that, I believe, will send markets plunging.

If on the other hand, the number is poor, or even if it isn't bad, but not great, then the Fed can be far more guarded in its response, keeping rates where they are before I believe cutting them again prior to introducing QE4. This is bound to send the markets back up, because the rate hikes will be off the table, and more stimulous will be forthcoming. The sick patient will get another injection of morphine, and they'll do everything they can to keep it alive until after the elections in Nov.

Remember, Clinton is the establishment candidate and Wall St is backing her to the hilt - only this week she got another $6 million from Soros for her campaign. The last thing they want is for the economy to implode before the election. Whether they can prevent it though remains to be seen.

It never ceases to amaze me how obvious it all looks in hindsight....
It really is that simple. Its just that emotions fears biases et al get in the way and blinker us as traders if we are not careful. I am fowards testing a different entry type on smaller timeframe charts with a smaller number of lots. It needs more work.
