This pair is having a tough time breaking down to the suggest retrace range of the prior 4th wave region.

How about Lean Hogs?

U/J a little mixed this morning. The Dollar Index is fairly neutral but does have a pretty mature cyclical bottom in place, a bullish indicator. The U/J also has a bull signal in its cyclical studies but it's shoved up in the top of that channel. Not sure this is going to amount to much as a long "signal" and might just result in a slow grind north or some consolidation as it get's in gear with the index.

Consolidation relative to the time-frame the analysis is based on, I should have been a little clearer on that point. In this case intraday/15m charts, as witnessed below... It hasn't moved much this session.

Just waiting to see what happens on the 120.00 level as oil failed to recover and NFP dues in less than 48 hours.

Well, that's frustrating. I made some shorting this pair, but I lacked the patience to really let this move short enter deeply into the territory of the 4th wave of the prior large 3rd wave. I clipped $300 when I should have netted $1,200.

So, from an Elliott Wave perspective, I believe we'll make a small new low and then move long for the final push before turning sharply lower. I'll trade this to at least the double top of the 1/29 high of 121.678, if not higher up to about the 122.43 range. Hopefully that all works out for a trade to about the 116.00 range.

What are some of the other counts you all having going?

I'm in short sice 120,40 and I think it could drop to 118,50 area that seems the next weekly support, if it get breaks, we'll head to 116,50 area.

Hi there skyhok. Given the above image and count, doesn't this force a recount of the pair, as least as labels go? That retracement was far deeper than I anticipated. Technically, the move can go far shorter before it enters into the primary wave 2's territory, but that's really far away. Did you post an updated count to this forum after the strong move down? Thanks! (I was long and was stopped out. My long trade was a smaller internal retracement long. Such is life...damnit.)
