I've just been having a chat with a trader from Oz on the ' Trading the BOE interest rate decision this week ' thread that you may like to look at concerning the future of the US ( and UK ) economy/markets, as I see it, as it ties in with this.

I don't think it will be confined to the US and UK economies ... the knock on effect even the oil price staying down has far greater effect to everyone then people initially realise.

Obviously not, it is a global economy we live in with the US leading the way, so everyone will be affected, though some more than others depending upon the unemployment rate, oil dependency, govt debt and so on.

I think Dow is doing a fake long right now, see a good pattern for short on 1hour chart at DP level..

Dax has previously come down hard from around here. Not sure I can hold back.

Dow is sitting still Dax goes mental. No signal. No rules but short at 9572. Stop to BE
Out flat. Wait for a proper signal. Discipline

Target 9500.

Rationale for this one (and the last) is what looks like a huge big supply zone between about 9500 and 9600. Price has repeatedly bombed down from this area. Previously the same zone was acting as a big demand zone with price shooting up. If the pattern is repeated we could easily see 70 points drop from top. Not my ideal trade but that move was daft.

And out. That's probably me for today. The action is tricky and I have what I came for. There are a clutch of fibs I have on my chart at around 9500. I have two 50 fibs and one 23.6. Doesn't really matter what levels that are from, the fact that there is a bunch of them at a BRN makes a likely pause level at least hence my target (and 60 points 'felt about right'.). Just to explain that a bit if you look at the drops from this zone previously they probably averaged around 75 before really turning so it would look fairly symmetrical on the chart if it happened again. Don't ask me why but this stuff seems to work. I am sure someone wiser than me will explain. I may do a chart later. Not up to it just now. Need a bit of head down time.
