Dax short at 9675 SL-5
Dow looks like it wants to retrace a bit to get better long entries.


Edit. This got taken out. Had to enter again at 9672.
Stopped out at 9655.

Please tell me to mind my own business revoli, but shorting a sudden down spike is, in my own humble experience, not a good idea, as it usually signifies that the price is about to turn back the other way. I am sure you know this

Difficult to get a good entry today with a tight stop. With this every time we hit 9700 sellers came in. My trigger was the bounce off the 61.8 fib just below BRN but slipped a bit. Slow fingers and slow execution. Dow was also showing some signs of wishing to push lower to next level (it's pivot as it turned out). My earlier short was stopped out which should have been it but given the weakness of the Dax a spike to at least the next level looked likely. So long as sellers are evident, and I have price in the right position relative to MAs it's within my rules. It also had yesterday's low to aim for so looked reasonably good. It was within my rules so happy with it. Second guessing these is not something I am going to do at this point.

Stopped moved behind last low at +27. That's what my rules say so go with it although I suspect this is a goner now.

Nice.. Some times it is good to not be greedy and fold them as Kenny Rogers says. Other times it is best to wait and be patient. Today being patient paid off for me. On other days being patient drained the account balance lol..

This is the last trading week here in Asia before the Chinese start their vacation. If stocks do not climb big time in China,Hong Kong and Taiwan then that will be a horrible sign. Stocks usually never have a bloodbath before Chinese New Years with no recovery. Not a good sign so far..

Okay I won't. Selling the pullbacks worked great this morning, with a small stop. Sell high/buy low.
