eu rising is probably trader desperation heading for exits using funding yen or euro. based on copper demand, that's not necessary copper price.

here is what some of the industry thinks about copper and china demand. they seem to think copper future is bullish with china focused as the main driver. http://www.aqmcopper.com/s/copperfundamentals.asp i have friends personally in the business. the price is down as well as the real demand. china is a heavy buyer of #2 copper. when number #2 copper demand % is down comparable to #1 copper %, like in china boom times. it reflects directly on china heavily. that conflicts with what the industry is saying here http://www.aqmcopper.com/s/copperfundamentals.asp

eu testing 0819 s/r atm.. close side, may be important this week. the week closed below 0859/68 bear side. the month 00 est has some time left.

i see 0888 or 0867 as likely st. s/r 0859/68 the same as always.. month still has a shot at 0868+ before 3h close. i wouldn't get too comfortable with a short if 00 est closes above 0869. near it is a wtf doji. if so both directions may come fast and reverse fast. it's not looking likely now, but a 0902 close may be bullish above november close. all i can do is wait. gu and eu long still. less long on eu.

Interesting read, I had no idea India had that kind of demand. I mean most countries would like to grow infrastructure, power etc., but didn't know they were that high.
The China numbers that were released didn't do much.

Just a little bit of lift in the pair, has room to run higher but the index is creeping up to trend-line resistance, might see a little stall here until the London session.
