DAX dropped hard today. I had a few good trades out of the few bounces and drops that took place. Out for now. Best to short spikes and bounces. Numbers in Asia are bad and in America they are not good either.

We're back at S2 and the weekly low. I would expect some recovery from this level.

Juste a small question, why the choice of DOW instead of SPX500 ? (spread, commission, required margin, ...?)

Yes generally if you trade the S&P you will take bigger lots with less swing... the Dow and Dax offer smaller lots but more movement... depends on your trading style which would be more suitable.

If you want big movement one might also consider the Japanese Nikkei JPN225,..
offers huge swings and very large daily ranges, often nicely correlated with the other indices,

however it's quiet a wild untamed horse though,..
if you're in for a wild ride one might give it a try,
definitely worth some investigation, on a demo first pls.

Yes the Nikki swung over 2000 pips in one day last week... only problem is for me im uk based and can't stomach having too many poss open over night.

Thanks for TIp.. i generaly trade the OZZ 200 for a couple hours the OZ morn.. get my bread and butter.. but just got a beauty on 1 min .. THKS again for tip.. here is 1 min chart

At the Monetary Policy Meeting held today, the policy board of the bank of japan decided to introduce "Quantitative and Qualitative Monetary Easing (QQE) with a "Negative Interest Rate" in order to achieve the price stability target of 2 percent at the earliest possible time

I just bought the Nikkei on retracement for a very very quick long trade for +50. In and out. And now as I type this, all the markets have fully retraced back to where they started. Even the Dax spiked after-hours by 120pts and dropped back completely.

So, 2mins later, I re-entered for another long trade on the Nikkei for another quick +50. I don't think these trades were longer than a minute in the market each.
