correct me if wrong.. are not things much different than the last pig feast? 2001 till today is apples to oranges. it not one size fits all. past 40 years is my thesis. not the abnormal markets since. most traders trading today have no idea of the hundreds + years of the way markets work. just the free money that has a cost, yet to be paid. a reset is coming, not what rags describes as me stating. remember the ez was u.s. dollar short before and will be again (ran out of dollars). the u.s. subsidized the ecb (fed).. its not going to happen again

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think this has much at all to do with rather limited alternative energy in a global market, so much as it has to do with political games being played between the US and Russia and Saudi Arabia and Iran. The price will go up or down when it conveniences the oil powers, but they haven't so easily relinquished their energy market share with so much left to exploit. I don't think oil is a bad bet for a long term investment, but I wouldn't bet on finding an exact low with leverage, way too many fundamental problems to deal with which could hinge on the mood of a few powerful men and families.

I had a beautiful 5 lots short in AUDJPY 83.23 but didn't hold it for more than 30 pips.

Would have been a quick 5k (118 pips)

Stop was 30 pips

Patience is difficult for the short because I am biased long in AUDJPY until 85.xx is reached (but 80.xx could certainly happen first)
Be hopeful in a winning position, and fearful in a losing position.

that 1.91 EU target supports the thesis that commodities will rebound to the moon.. i think there will be a day DXY sees a 5x.xx handle

describe "reset". what does it mean to you? to me it just means prices falling into extreme undervalued territory as the 10+ year holders of an asset finally sell their last holdings, and the new wave of 10+ year investors begin their buying

i dont know. iraq is pumping at a high now. iran trying to do the same. u.s. well numbers dropped and are still pumping at highs. not to mention the saudis can cut if they want to make closer to 0 on oil. they already are spending more than oil brings in. no doubt iran, iraq, and the us will try to catch the slack. some u.s. wells can set up a well and start pumping in 30 days. the saudis have little choice but to pump.

that target is generated on the bs period after 911. i am not trading on it. i doubt it will ever happen. you're taking it out of contest. uj has a story to tell.. uj stronger or euro stronger are not necessarily coordinating with higher equities or commodities. in 2008 early 2009 they dropped like stones off a cliff. dont assume they will always travel in the same direction or opposite.

world reset was energy related talked about a few years ago. in it more heavy industrial industry will go to places with cheaper energy. that will boost gdp jobs etc in places with stable government, workforce, and infrastructure. such as north america. energy is the most expensive cost in heavy industrial industry. places with cheap labor such as china can not compete w/o government subsidies on energy. see china's steel industry since. in the reset the u.s would become more energy independent. the usd declined after the gold standard was removed, it was amplified with the rise of oil and the embargo. since about 1973 u.s. oil production has declined up until about 2009 it began to rise. cheap energy attract heavy industrial industry. money is attracted to cheaper cost. china is destined to be basket weavers or labor intensive product exporters. germany gets about 3% of its gdp value from china. u.s less than 1% or about the gdp of a Arkansas. if a mature economy like germany has a positive outlook of 3% gdp. it's a little scary if china is removed, its 0. i doubt it will be china 0, it's destined to be lower than was expected. as time goes on even labor intensive products in emerging economies have to deal with 3d machine competition. the next industrial revolution. leaving basket weaving or clay pot making. not a whole lot of gdp in it.. basket weavers are less likely to vacation in the south of france. research china travel to france decline.

Added EUR/MXN and EUR/ZAR longs. EUR actually seems to be among the strongest currencies out there. It's been bought up heavily over past week.

UJ short + XAU short almost wiped my account.
I had 3 other accounts, I transfered x3 account balance just to save the account.

Lesson learned, I'll stick to daytrading EU

edit: funny thing is that I had 140 trades / 1 day / %32 return yesterday before UJ + XAU
