yes rate dropped some to what? 2 ish again from 2.5... german are at what? .5 again?... i dont think the euro is bullish in the normal sense. i want to short it. just waiting for a norm minimal at 1086 and more probably i will wait for 1115 or more tech wise (my techs). it will just take some bad china market news. copper on that trend to make that happen. add in uj with targets and norms much lower. than even conventional pattern techs say 1.2470. and now we have a db... so i have not yielded from 1.1086 or 1.1115 because it has many high % reasons to happen. if eu is going to rise, its probably close to soon with usdx near 100 and the dt at 100.88. atm level 99.59. ihave a 109.xx target (if and only if 100.88 is broken and eu 1.0462. both yet to happen). but its normal to go to 96.70 before. if not, i am wrong. if you think this sounds crazy today. just think how it sounded at 1.05xx, before this 500 pip bounce. in november when all looked bearish.

Thanx man, daily chart your upper numbers are definitely in line , 200 sma is up in that area seen that pattern many times on smaller time frames and if you dont wait for tht last little flip up on the stochs or rsi or what ever you use your usually scrambling lol cause the price will move a lot farther than the indicater, Ive had a couple nice shorts from the quarterly pivot but thats like fiddling in the middle of that pattern , anyhow thanks for your time , have a great weekend

Finally got off my ass and put together a decent trading desk.

AUDJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD always just a glance away now (with 3 time frames)

What's everyone else working with?

I gotta admit, I am 10x better at picking bottoms than tops (except with the SP500, that was an easy top to call)

Don't know why, I guess I have a mental block with short trades.

lol, its because selling it can only go back to zero , , buying the sky is the limit . Same problem here , thats what I narrowed it down too ha

Yup. I got my start at Dean Witter as a research assistant in '88. The trader I worked for was using something a lot like that... I wasn't allowed to touch it haha. That guy could point and figure like no ones business.

Trying to make a decision on whether I should focus on AJ longs or GU longs next week.

AJ bottom is more confirmed, but 400 pips from the major low, I suspect it's headed back to at least 85.50

GU bottom is less confirmed but upside could be greater and risk less (180 pips from major low). GU should do 1.4500/50, but might take 2-3 weeks.


Thinking 75% capital to AJ and 25% to GU

I've got them about .91 percent correlated over the last month, it may not matter. On my model the GU is a little more asymmetrical in the weekly studies, shows the most potential for a move higher, but it isn't signaling yet either - so take that with a grain.

Yes I agree, GU still has the strength for 3950 before any major correction, but it doesn't have to

AJ looks better to me, especially on the Aussie end, not so much the Yen side. Maybe better to just play AU.

If you could get a pop higher off that monthly RSI, that could be a pretty nice trade.

It's a strong signal but need confirmation, it seems likely we will at least test half way down that wick in February, and hopefully find a bottom in that range (81.00-80.50ish)... assuming we close January somewhere around 83.00

Similar to what happened in September after that large August monthly wick (except September tested near the major low of August)
