Nice observation! I see someone's been reading about Emmanuel7788's WRB teachings. The thing is that I did not looked at the chart that way. When I trade on the D1 chart, I enter as Big E entered the H4. So I enter on the open of the first or second APB, as long as it looks like a good APB, crossing above/under the 5 EMA, and with TDI Red Green confirmation. There was some space until the resistance, a little over 100 pips, and my thinking was that it has to test that level. So my entry was done based on that criteria.

This is my first trade on the D1 this year. Unfortunately, I am not always in front of my PC at that hour, so I will be missing some setups on D1 chart.

GN, long, aimed near the resistance, 140 pips gained.

Hi!

I am rather new to D1 TMS trading, but as Emmanuel7788 said in other TMS thread, high impact news do not usually change the overall daily direction. The medium impact news... I do not care about them at all. I live in Romania, and usually the important news occur after LO. That means I can enter at 12:00 AM and after 10:00 when London opens, I have time to manage my trade.

Maybe more experienced D1 TMS traders can enlighten you more, but I hope this was helpful.

Hi all,

I am a newbie on trading, started last summer testing, studying, going crazy of all holy grails...
I tested systems, indicators, started coding ea's, etc.
Only since i discovered TMS i have a feeling that i'm on the right path, especially with day charts since i have a daytime job.
Among the things i still have to figure out to develop a solid trading plan there is one i can't seem to find the answer. Maybe you can help me with that.

The day candles start at 23.00 local time (the Netherlands). At the moment the problem is that it is too late for me. I have to get up at 6 am and need my beautysleep :-) I do have the possibility before that time and maybe use pending orders but things seem to change later, or look at the chart at 6 am and maybe miss nightly moves or get stoplosses in the London session shortly after that.

Long story but maybe i'm thinking too complicated about it. Any advice?

@Profanas: you can try all pairs, for sure....but for me I take only the majors and some crosses, trendy pairs might be better. Test it out with the simulator witch fits your trading

im a newbie to in TMS since a few weeks. Im sure you get help with your Trading Plan. Here are enough good Threads for this Topic. But please note, a Trading Plan is a personal thing. Which Pairs i will Trade? Built of my Setup? Enteringrules? Exitrules? Positionsize adjusted to the account. I can suggest you the Book "Technical Analysis by John Murphy" for Basics.
I need my Beautysleep to. So my entry is at 6:30 am before i go to work.
Dont use pendingorders for your entry. You has to look at the chart on Candle open ore a little later. At the open of the candle the TDI moves a little, THEN make a choice like "uhhh TDI steep Breech, long candle ..."
Before 23pm you dont know how it wil look. Entry wih pending order in the TDI is like buying a car without having seen it previously. =)

Dont forget to reread TMS Thread. It takes a while^^

I have attached two templates that may help someone struggling to develop a trading plan. The zip file also includes an excel journal that helps to understand why you took the trade and allows you to analyze it with hindsight. It takes a lot to be this committed but if you are genuinely looking to take control of you actions, reflect and learn from your mistakes, then this will help.

Hi Candle,

Yes i'm reading TMS threads as much as i can and learn a lot about plans etc. I'll look for that book too (for when i'm done with the original thread ;-) ).
When you say i have to wait for the open or shortly after, you mean there's no alternative time to enter? And what do you mean by exit in the morning? Do you keep positions open for just a few hours or is that just your standard exit time? I hope i make myself clear.

You find the Exitrules in the original thread.

Sure there are alternatives but you have to make your own way. But you're just a little as I ready for it. First Step is master the orignal TMS. (My way to)

Get a collegeblock ore Word, read the TMS-Thread, wrote the essence of it down, stay at the orignal System without "optimize" it. Make a notice which characteristics has to be complied. Then trade in the LFH Simulator and record it in Excel with a snapshot (Snippingtool). (my way to)
