At the expense of USD CAD, I think we should wait until the price touches the lower border of the trend, and then put to a long position.

For me there's been a head fake on the USD CAD 30/60 min timeframes but shorts are proving a painful excursion at present. Oil appears to have found some interest off $30...for now at least

Something to be cautious of though.
A retreat to 1.3920 area would retest the breakout pattern before perhaps extending higher into historical resistance
Monthly shows a clear retest and strong acceleration off 2009 highs resistance turned support

USD is way overbought on cross all pairs.Most of the drive is hyped up. Chinese stock market and economy issues which in my view also has been exaggerated.We will see corrections coming soon.
Hints that already Jan numbers are not looking good

This is clear example that technicals is not enough.Against fundemetal factors no tech stands a chance.That goes for Elliot Waves and Harmonics as well.
WE have seen basically nothing but UP on this pair .Once big boys decide its time then we will swing lows rabidly as well.
