bailed on the EU longs @ 0915 and went long AUDJPY, took the profit way too early (but that's better than way too late)

now shorting USDCAD

waiting for EU to setup long again on daily TF (might be a while)

Just went short on the hourly usd/jpy though. Following a very strong downtrend. Short at 117.691, sl at 117.850, tp at 116.850

in daily and 4 hour, upper trend line will be a strong resistence around 1.093 -started from 1.1059

i dont think it will happen by year end 2016, but by year end 2017 its possible. 2 years to move 1500 pips is extremely realistic

its a double edged sword. small losses means you could be stopped out and watch your trade go onto a profit

so one needs to calculate the missed profit into the small stop loss

wide stop obviously means larger losses, but typically much higher win %


i prefer wider stops most of the time, because that means i enter not near the very edges of the market, but after PA has built up some sort of confirmation behind the support level. so the entry isn't as ideal, but the probability is higher.

hard to explain but you are smart im sure you understand what i mean

i would take a 70% win rate and a 1:1 RR average >>> a 20% win rate and 5:1 RR average

now if i could pull off an average of 40% win rate and 5:1... yes i would prefer that, but i'm not that good.
