The strategy takes profit at the opposite line of the CCI.

Yes, all the four settings running on the strategy are on the losing side right now. As i have mentioned on my first week of the test, Setting 2 that has been having the highest winning, is also exposed to have the highest loss among all the 4 settings when a bad day comes. Setting 1 has been consistent on winnings too, though not as much as that of setting 2 but it gives an average of 100+ pips per day from the past 6 testing days and it is safer for a bad day like this cos it has the lowest amount of loss among all the 4 settings.

Here are their situations at the moment. I started them all together at the beginning of Tokyo session.

I don't think its a problem. Thats how they appear on my charts too today though not all of them but most.

I think it adjusts itself according to the chart structure at the moment.

​I believe that the Casino_CCI_Cycle_PIN indicator takes profit when there is an opposite major buy-sell signal from the cycle-identifier component of the indicator.
It was TraderJoes who proposed it to Seller because he noted that the CCI did not reach the opposite TP threshold and some times reversed. See posts# 12102 - 12104 and 12125. Seller obliged and created CCI_Cycle_PIN which incorporated the Cycle-identifier into the Casino_CCI_PIN.

CCI Cycle Identifier:

Entry Rules:

 

  1. Cycle Identifier displays Major Buy or Sell bar signal.
  2. CCI line crosses the upper or lower threshold.
  3. The trade is opened in the direction of both the CCI and the Cycle identifier.


Exit rules:

  1. Cycle Identifier generates an opposite Major Cycle signal.
  2. The trade position is closed.

I think you are right.
See my previous post. CCI was in opoositite signal but not Cycle ident, the position hasn't been closed.

The Casino_TSL__v1atr.ex4 is an indicator to be put into your MT4 "Indicators" folder. When using it, disable all Stop Losses IN THE Casino PLUGINS YOU HAVE TURNED ON and have the Casino input parameter "Use_Plugin_TSL_Exit=true". All you have to do is drag-n-drop this indicator onto your charts.

I would turn on "Period Separators" option to have a better idea of the CycleIdentifier timing:

That way you will know for certain how many Cycle Identifier major signals you are getting on a daily basis.

It depends on what your look back setting is, you may want to increase it, 25 is quite small, try 50 to 150 setting.

I had been away until last weekend but believe me when I tell you that I have watched and read every single word in this thread so I have put in the work. I had those questions because to me it wasn't clear from earlier posts.

From your answer to sbenichou I guess Use_Plugin_TP_Exit set to TRUE means that it will close and open a new trade once it encounters a new major Cycle ID signal in the opposite direction. That part wasn't clear to me as I couldn't remember what the video said. I tried to re-watch the video before asking but for some reason the video always stop loading about 10-20 seconds after I start it regardless of where I start watching. Very annoying and I don't know the problem.

As for my question regarding sessions and Auto Restart, it's because from your earlier posts it seems you are running continuously. However you have Auto Restart turned ON which to me indicates you use sessions with gaps in between. I have never tried to run continuously so maybe I am misunderstanding something but I thought to continuously run you only had to set one session with settings 0:00:00 to 23:59:59 and it wouldn't require Auto Restart.

Sorry I gave the impression I wasn't putting in the necessary work. Keep in mind English is my secondary language.

Based on Seller9's comments in Post 13433, is your setting at default 25 on all charts?
And has anyone tested other settings like 50, 100 etc?

You are right that TraderJoe proposed it this way but Seller9 did not do it that way. I have also requested in the past if it can be done so.

Check post 13,253 for confirmation from Seller9.

It closes the trade only after the candle that touched the line has closed.

Hello JPY99,
You don't need to apologise as no offense was taken. I will try to answer your questions.

1. I use regular charts and not Renko charts.

2. I trade on H1 charts.

3. The first week test was a 4 days continuous run but my recent posts have been daily tests due to some reasons i had to break them.

4. I have never stopped any Casino run due to any news as i would like to know the effect it would give as we are still running tests.

5. The TP is inbuilt in the CCI_CYCLE_I.D to take profit when the opposite CCI line is hit and after the close of the candle that hits it. You have to set Use_Plugin_TP_Exit to TRUE in the Casino to make it work. If you wish to use other means of TP, e.g the ATR TP, then set the Use_Plugin_TP_Exit to FALSE.

6. The Trail_Last_Equity_Lock set is set to true by default and is not effective until you put on your EQUITY LOCK on the Casino dashboard.

I have not tampered with the LOOK BACK setting before and i think it is something to work on.

Henceforth, we will need to look at every chart to see what the CCI lines look like. If there is anyone that looks too tight, then we'll adjust them to fit what it should look like normally.

Which i think contributes to the bad trades we all had in testing this strategy today.

Seller9, please correct me where i'm wrong. I only try to express my thoughts on this but i believe you know better.
