I agree, technical analysis shows strong CAD.

But OIL and fundamentals ??

CAD economy going broke ?
COT: The precious data ignored
If price pulls back from here, looking to go long @ around 1.3996/1.4000...if price gets there.
I am not so sure there will be such a pullback, the bullish trend is very strong.

There's nothing like getting paid to sleep :-)

All of my position came off last night at 1.4065 and I was happy to book the nearly 200 pips profit on the 6.5 minis. Cha-ching!

And yes, it's nice to bank some before my holiday, but I'm already stalking my next entry per my post yesterday. I'll be watching price action today to start initiating new long entries and will hopefully get a blog post up later too.

I was on a bit of a hiatus because I was trading futures w/ Think or Swim rather than cash. The mobile experience and charting wasn't great and there's no way to trade pairs like GBP/JPY so I started testing out Oanda's platform last month with a small deposit. I'm loving it and think I'm hooked. So I'm hoping to be around a bit more, especially once I'm back from Thailand

I'm flat USDCAD right now and taking a wait and see approach. I'll either start buying below 1.4050 (hopefully around 1.4030) or above 1.4100 on a break out. Feels like we're settling into at least temporary consolidation though, so hoping to see a bit lower price.

This pair is currently caught in a tug-of-war. The USD is weaker across the board on a more dovish FOMC minutes than people were expecting. However, oil is tanking which is pulling in the opposite direction.

Have to settle for range bound for now.

yes im flat too right now this pair has legs we just have to wait for the consolidation and a nice set up like 1.39's one
