yes 1055 as well, has potential

nearly entered at 1051 with SL 1049, would have worked, but decided only to go with 1055 and SL 1045

Yup, good call so far. From what I can see, Gold has some real solid buy power right now and should keep trending much harder tomorrow.

demand from India was up eight percent year-over-year at 662 tonnes, and the highest level since it began tracking sales in 1995. Interestingly, for the majority of 2014, the Indian government imposed restrictions on gold imports. With restrictions eased in 2015, there’s a really good chance demand for gold jewelry will hit another record.

on a week chart gold has rang all the bells to drop to 930.9x.

other closer target 978.87. one could argue 1224 is needed before, its possible. it takes time for such large moves. like this drop of 50% of all time highs.
on a 4 h not yet triggered, 1068.06 is/was all that was needed to allow a drop. its gone as high as 1071+, that is above 1068.06.
a LL of course would help validate the 4h. but on the week its already done. all it usually does for a much lower target, below the 4 h at 1006.68.. the atm high of 1071.46. 1071.40 is the UM for that 930.9 target. careful with those long golds. that 930.9x target is 30 months worth of indicated pa.. atm 107.82

after an LL price typically goes back above the LL and places an LH, we are in that phase now (although it could go even lower before bouncing back above 1073, but it doesn't seem likely). 1130 would be a solid place for LH, above 1130 would make the bearish trend weaker (if we had an LH at 1175 that would be less bearish and indicate it may want an HH soon, above 1190).

going into year end and year beginning, price typically reverses what it did in the previous year before continuing with the trend.

i have literally every tech possible on my side for this trade. and then with the real money backing it only adds to conviction (look at the COT).

your 930 is possible after a move higher. very rarely does a candle open and continue immediately in the direction of the previous candle. so talking about yearly candles, January/February at minimum should be bullish, then if it wants to go lower it can.

just look at this phenomenon, it plays out over and over. it's hard to explain but you will notice what I mean if you just look at any chart (look at a monthly) and notice how when a market is bearish, the first week of the month is bullish but by the end of the month price is lower than it closed in the previous month

this works on an hourly chart too. if market is trending up and closes the hour, it will typically start the first 15 minutes of the next hour bearish, then continue higher and close the next hour higher than the previous. this is why i like trading around the end and start of new candles.

what im trying to say is, 2016 can definitely close lower than where we will close 2015, but the first 1/4 of the year will most likely be bullish.

wicks on both ends candlestick phenomenon (price begins candle countertrend to previous candle)

cant explain it in words but easy to see on a chart

so will the 2016 upper wick be near 1130 or higher? high probability of yes.. after such point, it can continue lower

ff doesn't give search to most of my post. its already late in the game. trades made fresh are the ones that pay the best with the lessor risk. times for a fresh short are years old if one wants to dig them up. useless thread "1492" was placed purposely in older gold ones. .

1307ish.. was about the last chance to enter a bounce toward 930.xx or lower. find it on a chart, check the date and a post would have to be before the move to be considered correct.
