This one is representative for all other trades. Nothing to analyze. The whole logic about strength and gap is implemented. One indicator needs to be added, the pea in the nutshell! {image} {image} {image} {image} I wish you all a peaceful weekend.

I took gbpcad at exact same time, didn't took gbpaud since I was already win 1 trade for in in the past 1 hour and I am planing 1 trade per hour.

One question for example at GBPCAD was near "59 for me that I reset gap every 30 min it's near a gap reset and a new bar.

From your experience is good to open a trade just before a new bar and gap reset come ?

And that trades from iHistory are manual trades only ?

Is anyone having problems with the CRS section? At first the 15 min and 30 min section was updating normally. But now it just does not update at all. I left the excel program and MT4 running overnight. Every other page is running smoothly. Most of the CRS page is also running without problems. However the gap section just is not updating every 15, 30 and 60 minutes. Anything I can check? Any solutions so that it can update regularly? Thank you for any assistance.

While trading / scalping the market I give full attention to the dashboard and my open orders. That means I don't have time to take screenshots in time. Sometimes I have to wait for a second signal from my dashboard, only to have something at hand for the purpose of illustration. I've mentioned already, that the right timing is a very important factor and one might miss a good signal, while busy taking screenshots! The signal on the dashboard you are referring to was taken later when orders were in TP already. It was a long-lasting signal.

If the move is strong enough, there are more opportunities to take a screenshot because of a long-lasting signal. See example:

For the timeframes, I respect them all! But I do not open an order just a minute prior of a new H4 candle but after instead. The example below shows how strong NZDCAD moved after the new candle @12pm.

Husky,

I am not using this Excel version but error 76 is a VB error indicating that there is a directory path or file missing. Usually this indicates that you may not have your Excel worksheet in the proper directory. Just below the Excel screen shot is the VB code. First go to your File Explorer and then to your User path C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Metaquotes\Terminal\XXXXXXXXXXXXX\Files\TradeFromMT4

The xxx refers to whatever user name you use to log onto your system. The XXXXXXX is a unique string MetaQuotes assigns to each update revision. You may have several so check each one to see the dates created. When you find it, copy your TradeFromMT4 into it and also change the XXX and XXXXXX references to match what you found in your AppData path.

For simplicity, I do not use this type of setup. I have a short cut that points directly my MetaQuotes and runs Terminal directly with the /portable switch on. This switch redirects Terminal from using the XXXXXXX unique directory to using the standard old directory like pre 600, \MT4\Indicators directory for TradeFromMT4. The Target text in the ShortCut properties is "C:\Forex Program Files\Tallinex\Tallinex - 2\terminal.exe" /portable and I always install my MetaQuotes updates into C:\Forex Program Files\Tallinex\Tallinex - 2. I have created a subdirectory Excel under the MT4 directory and copy each worksheet into it and do this only once. With the standard setup, I think you may have to find the XXXXXX after each new MetaQuotes update and then update the VB file path and recopy TradeFRomMT4 into it. Whereas with the /portable setup, it never needs updating again.

Also for others that use a broker with a suffix extension like Tallinex, every Excel worksheet has to have each DDE input reference changed to include the extension like ='MT4'|HIGH!AUDCADecn. Its a pain in the butt but needs to be done. Perhaps someone could write a subroutine to add the extension automatically.

As I said starting off, I do not use this worksheet, so these are only my ideas on how to solve your problem and they may not be accurate or complete.

Cheers CC

I will cover all the steps, maybe some you did some you didn't

1 Enable DDE server in MT4
2 Open chart and drag indicator ExporttoExcelTimer on what time frame you want to export(M30 for example)
3 Put the script TradeFromExcel2MT4
4 Open excel, allow macros bla bla
5 Sheet getValues there is a setup patch , you have to enter
6 Alt + F11 / Modules folder and Button_Actions there are many fields with MyPath = , put there your folder including TradeFromExcel2MT4 folder in the end of course.
7 Maybe you launch an order and a sheet was open maybe you save it by mistake or whatever and error occur during that time.
there is a line filename = CSV filename without directory replace the test.csv with something else
8 to don't complicate thinks DON'T rename the name of your excel, or if you do it rename it in Modules/c_speedometer line
Windows("Speedometer_v4c.xlsm").Activate

I hope I cover everything, also I can confirm this is working without errors on excel 2013 and 2016.
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

The rootDir need also to be change.
Also the DWM.csv it's created by the indicator you attached to the chart, and it's created at the close of the bar you set. At 30M for example when the bar will be close it will create the file.

The test.csv file it's create automate without save just to sent the order.

Problem to import real time data or sent order can be also generate if your broker use sufix/prefix. Also this will not work during weekend's of course since can't sent orders.

I have a question. Forgive me if this is too simple. It is regarding the strength meter calculations. Why do we use a 0 to 9 polynomial table instead of 0 to 100 like the bid ratio from which it is derived?

Thank you,

I know your don't agree to changes since it's clear if something it's working why to change it , but I am asking in term of SL, since for TP it's clear the system its good.
For SL how do you find the ideea to put SL below the last candle close at X buffer pips. For example you trade 4h GAP, the best SL you can put it would be 10-15 pips below the last 4hours candle that close. If the SL will be touch it's clear not a temporary pull-back and it suggest more a trend change.

How do you thing about this SL system?
