The European Central Bank shocked investors last week when it announced a smaller-than-expected expansion of its monetary easing efforts, sparking the euro’s largest one-day rally in more than six years.
Now that the dust has settled, Goldman Sachs Group — which called for investors to short the euro a day before Thursday’s ECB meeting — has updated its euro EURUSD, -0.4502% forecast, after admitting that its team of currency strategists “badly misread this meeting” in a research note dated Thursday.

dono. i made my bed. i see oil dropping further. as long as it does, deflation is more likely. the longer oil stays low the greater the chance of deflation. ecb and the fed may have lost the ball. a world reset will do that. its hard for the fed to raise as oil chips away at inflation. its hard for any ecb easing to work, as oil counters any easing announced. diesel 1.98 pg near me gasoline 1.62..atm

its below 0843 and 0836.. on the bear side.. close above 0843 (0845+ stronger) now and it may test the week closes 0877 and 0885.. if not its on the bear side of 0836 atm

Ya I read about oil on the other thread. sisse mentioning about the same. if oil tanks it would cause more panic. 30$ is being talked about as well. draghi is not going to get inflation with those numbers but at the same time his worry is he does not have enough bonds to buy. fed has to raise in any case. the first rate hike should have been done way back in 2014. they have delayed a lot.

i mentioned 30 last year to a few of them, the response was never. if Brent reaches that low i mentioned, 14 dollar brent would have a path.
