ah, that's why candle bar analysis is not good. just keep the mind clear guys. look at the slope of the swings, or momentum, and projection and depth. forget about bars. fat cats use them to trick u into doing stupid things.

Hello Traders,

I hope everyone is doing well and are finding ways to capitalize from the markets! As we get into the end of the year I hope to find some time to share some more things with you all. I don't do much FOREX trading anymore an have been trading the Futures markets. I like the range and consistency of the market and the level playing field. No nonsense. Thanks to all who have kept posting and for supporting each other.

Great to see you popping back in Mr Pip!!

I am trying to manage my trading around the time I am at my computer, which is not too often unfortunately. Today is a day off and up about 20 pips so far, just being patient waiting for a high probability opportunity.

Look forward to any more of your wisdom you wish to impart on us all

oh , Hello Mr. Pip. We haven't talked before but I am a great fun of yours. Everything you have done here is simply great. Thank You so much for all the time you have spent, all the efforts you have taken and all the work (videos, charts and above all the patience dealing with everyone questions, comments etc etc) and for making this as easy as possible and accessible to us all.

I've said somewhere in my previous comments that I intend to be your greatest student in this way of trading . And I will (if you have the patience to hang around here some more time ).

Good to know your still around Mr. Pip, I know your last message states your no longer trading Forex and I would like to hear more about your reasons for this whenever you have the time to discuss.

I'm currently reading through this thread from the beginning and have a question about the Main and Dominant swings.

I believe I'm looking for sore thumb highs and lows but my question is when looking left how far do I go for the counterpart high or a low, as there may always be a higher high or lower low - Apologies if this is a basic question or has been answered elsewhere?

I have attached two images please let me know when you have time if I am on the track or sitting out in the stands somewhere.

Hello Ed,

I have gone to Futures because its a better trading environment. There is no price manipulation by the brokers as the price is set by the exchange. Everyone plays by the same rules and the leverage i get is great from my broker. Remember I always say a chart is a chart, the information is always processed the same way and while this is true, if on top of that if everyone is force to be more hones then that always helps level the playing field.

There is a video I posted on the main and dominant swings. Always find the swings that has price trapped between its highs and lows these will be your main and dominant swings. You do not have to go way back to find this. review the videos they explain this in detail look in youtube under dcast and under damian castilla. If you still havwe issues with this post and I'll see how I can help you further.

Is it OK if I ask you whether you use the same broker as you did before? And, if I may ask you which future market do you trade now?

I do not use the same broker as before. I am not recommending any one broker over another do your own due diligence but I am using NinjaTrader Brokerage which is the IB for Dorman Trading. This allows me to continue to use the NinjaTrader Platform which I love.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I've also bought a license of ninjatrader and i'm using it (with fxcm). And i like it too, although i still have some minor problems.

It's good that you can place an order straight with TP and Sl but if you want to hedge the position then the original order was closed automatically. these kinds of issues. yes, i just tried once but it was ok. didn't came at a great loss. not doing it anymore though. i'm just keeping it clean as u do.
