If you know when to STOP with a grid or martingale system, you are good. But that is 99% of the times not the case. Just imagine how many pips you would have during the last few weeks with a tight trading range. I have heard times where people have done great with those systems, they could have few lucky weeks, or months but never a few years. That is why, traders using these strategies are aggressive, and they hit the withdrawal button as soon as the target is hit.

What comes fast, goes fast. If you want to treat trading as a business, enjoy the 0.1%-1% gain a trade. That is all you need, once you have gone a few months with that without withdrawing, your small account with all the compounding will not be small anymore and all that without breaking a sweat.

it can be maintained if he knows where to enter. if he doesn't then it won't

it's not an EA and it's also not his personal money. he manages over 5mil total this is just the most risky fund but also has great performance.

hope he doesn't blow it, I think since August 24th he has learned a lesson and has reduced leverage on initial trade to less than 0.5:1

prior to that he started with 2:1
