Long term view, eyeing EMA 200 on daily, it could definitely test that EMA one more times on Mondays, if that holds then price could bounce next week

This week I'm also paying close attention to JPY pairs to look for clues on future direction. I expect this week to be quite important. Weekly charts have been in consolidation for a bit.

USDJPY has recently seen increasing volatility and some momentum upwards to to USD strength.
EURJPY has obviously diverged due to monetary policy divergence and EURUSD direction.

If BoJ becomes more dovish expect USDJPY to continue towards 125. If BoJ is confident about the economy I expect EURJPY to sell off further. For GBPJPY and AUDJPY the picture is less clear but both are trading in weekly WRB near the highs.

So these pairs traded mainly based on their first leg and choppy overall...

There is a very strong resistance in the way. PA respected it so many times in the past as support, and had difficulties breaking it. I, for one, would be cautious when PA gets there. It might not be the by the book CD leg, but a shorter one. I think a lot of power is needed to break through that resistance. At least that's how I see it. And we must keep in mind that we are still in a downtrend on D1 and W1. Probably MN too, I don't know, I did not check it.

I wish you many green pips next week, as I am sure you'll get them!

Hi,

Today when the market is closed, I did some back testing on xauusd on the D1 chart. I test 2 strategies (TMS (5 EMA + TDI) and Synergy (PAC + TDI).

We see some great oppertunities and great rewards, but we also see a consolidation of 3 months (especially in April). This results in some small losses and no wins. But maybe someone have some experience with trading is such sort of time and can advice me, how to trade in these months with consolidation.

Also have someone any tips to recognize consolidation?

Hi everyone just a quick question on the Dots v3.0, in the settings of the dots v3.0 I see the Broker London offset value is 2, if my platforms time zone is on 00GMT, must I change this value to 0?

No offense, but I am totally ok with being presented more methods to increase my chances in making more pips. Anyone can read all the posts of Big E, and trade accordingly, if they like. I, for one, tried to trade the exact same way as Big E did, and had no success. I need some tweaks. I am not looking for a quarrel, I am just expressing my point of view. I have faith in the guppies, and strongly believe they can make a difference and improve my trading. So SJ has my vote.

Josh, no hard feelings, I hope.

Hi SJ, I have been studying this thread with great interest for weeks and appreciate the help you and others are providing. I have definitely reached the conscious incompetence stage and with the use of various methods learnt here am starting to get some success. The account has stopped going backwards anyway. In search of the system that works best for me I would like to try the DOTS system but my platform only seems to except mq4 files as aposed to the ex4 file provided. If you or anyone else could post it would be much appreciated. Look forward to your further teachings and will let you know my progress. The path of least resistance sound good to me. Personally I go live with new system but my max. loss limit is $300 and trading with 0.01lot. More fun than Demo and if I lose more than $300 I would normally trade with nano lot.
Just IMHO, newbies should do demo not more than 1month. Nowaday we can trade nano lot and if we lose then thinking that we are paying for forex course & tution(so cheap). Once money is on the line for sure everything will come to consider entry,exit, trade & money managemen...etc....
But again people trade & think differrently.

Said that, can some one please explain to me what is 5 method. Also I need further explanation on 5 ema shift 3. What is that? I felt like Big E didn't explain that as much as I may have wanted him too.

Hello Vpa021,
5 method is using the 5ema as your setups for entry and exit, you can look at Big E post to understand it better, take a look at the attached PDF. The 5 EMA(exponential weighted moving average) is the yellow line in Big E chart, it's shift +3 which should be in the EMA setting, its just to move your EMA by 3 bar in front so you can see the angle better.

that depends on which version of the TDI you are using.

Or when I tell you BEEB price acton setup at confluence of 200EMA and BRN, will this help you better?

I am in vacation so I depend on my TMS Monitor to send me emails of the potential H4 and D1 setup alerts. I only login into to trading VPS when I get alerts for my 4H Swing and D1 Position trading.

But, on Mondays as usual I get only false alerts like today Tokyo open.

These false alerts are good trading opportunities for today too. So do not ignore them.

You are absolutely correct. I tried trading the way big E wrote in Post#1. That did not work for me too. Many other traders tried too, they could not achieve the results they wanted. We all went and look for training wheels. We found the "training wheels"

To trade like Big E, you can only go as far as he went. He had 80% win rate and he had 20% losers.

A few active TMS traders got together, we worked on his 80% winner and his 20% losers. We learned many things about the way he traded the H4 as in Post#1.

Just my assumption. If Big E is alive today, he would be very proud that his 5-Method got better than him

What does BRN stands for? Do i need those indicators (where you have BRN circled)?

Also emmanuel, can you please help me with a broker? It seems difficult find a broker as i live in the states.

Be warned! Big E did not use the BN levels indicator. But he looked at the 00,20,50,80 price levels as his round numbers.

One small piece of advice: Do Not trade short term H1 until you have mastered the 5-Method on H4 or D1 chart timeframe.
