well...there were different reasons (I guess) for suspending him
a) He was abusive...yelling at people calling them muppets if they had a different opinion
b) He refuses to take a loss...a trader is one who routinely makes a small loss ...he knows when the market has moved against him and trades accordingly...
How many people do you know who ABSOLUTELY refuse to take a loss ?
c) All people think he is trying to make money by selling his services

a)sometimes agreed. sometimes conversation wasnt good but other people were doing the same things and nothing happened to them.
b) dont agree. it is a trading style, like you have to take a loss and wait and trade again and take win or loss it is a trading style
c) really dont agree!! why people only think? told sometime he wants to sell something? NEVER and I was reading everything. good trades from aggressive account too, which were posted sometimes. he was in EURUSD really long time and nothing look at the people like eita1010 and palinco yes they were helping BUT after some time, they want to sell something and then they were in commercial section but without sellin service I dont understand how he can be there....!!!!!

does he explain why he entered a particular trade...
I dont think so...so who cares if he is no longer here...we are trying to learn from each other and I respect someone who shares something
like shows a chart and says...Bull Flag pattern or Elliot wave or Double top or something.

we are all trying to learn from each other
FXT never taught anyone anything
...hence in my opinion ...no real loss to this thread...
Of course this is my opinion and I have been wrong MANY MANY times...
if anyone can explain that FXT taught someone anything ...please go ahead and share

matkoo -- why do you care if FXT has been suspended...you are set up on his twitter account and you get his messages
why are you concerned if he is able to post to this thread or not...
Please explain...how FXT is good for the users of this thread
and please dont get defensive or offensive...give a good decent reply

refusing a loss is a good strategy if you can afford that. today I've closed the usdcad long which was there for 36 days (with 7 cent profit )

Exactly... Dhby I agree that for some people refusal to take a loss may work out fine...
Many ways to trade...however I see no reason to be rude...and let's face it ...FXT was rude and obnoxious
and the question I am raising is did he explain anything ?

Trading during NFP news seems rather easy. Place a 20-25 pip buy stop above the current price and 20-25 pip Sell stop below the current price 5 minutes before the official figures break and set the tp at 30-40 pips. Do that on EURUSD, USDJPY AND GBPUSD and you're sure to make tons of money. Why is it so simple?
I agree, another thing you can test on demo is trading with 7 dollar above and below on gold buy/sell stop. This makes it a pure USD play.

As for FXTyrant, I don't know if refusing to take a loss is a reason to ban somebody. Next, people ask "did anybody learn anything from him"? I find that also a pointless question. We are here at a discussion forum. It's meant to discuss with eachother and people MAY learn from the discussion. It's not a qualification to be allowed on a forum; I mean 99% (me including) have nothing much to offer for other people, except simple conversation and exchanging opinions and experience. FXT also provided reasons for his trades and his views. e.g. he explained why certain numbers were bad: because of the bad weather. I think he knows what he's talking about and doesn't spout random thoughts like some dudes in this EURUSD thread. Was FXT rude? Perhaps he was. It didn't really bother me. Problem is, people are easily offended nowadays. I also had no proof he was trying to sell anything, but maybe I'm ignorant in that matter. I didn't really research it so maybe the moderators of forexfactory made a correct decision here to make him a commercial member.

Yeah I like to see him back as well, why are people so harsh on him, there are lot of real commercial members on this forum which are waiting to activate their intentions soon.

A possible reference to this level in 2008 may be this, although I am not sure if this is a proper swing (the retracement was small in relation to the surrounding move)
Or you had other setup in mind?
