Following on from what SJ said (the man with the pip barrow
) if you are trading H1 take notice of H4 and never trade against it. You will quite often find good trades on H1 that are against D1 but not against H4. However, always keep in mind what D1 is doing. Also take a look at M15 and see where the TDI is. If it is above 68 (selling trade) be prepared for your H1 trade to be a short duration or ride out the pull back that may happen.As a rule of thumb look at TF 4x your trading TF ( H1 trade, check M15 and H4)

If I understand correctly you would not enter any trade at LO, you just wait a second candle in the same color or direction before taking any action? Often the LO candle has a lot of action, we can miss some good opportunities do you think? If the LO is the second candle of the same color following the FO, do you think it has more chance the first scenario I've mentioned?

The previous Day did close below 1105 and the price bar is smaller range. Below 1105 looks like empty space to fall further to 1081, but look further back it was congested region before. So we must look at it day by day to see the size of the day candles (both real price bar and the APB) . If the APB start showing upper wicks, pay attention to your stops above. With your stops are trailing using 2-days look back, it will get tighter when price momentum drops and profit taking will cause some correction.

about USDJPY, you will notice that I don't trade this pair because I am not the very short term type of trader. The average daily range and the average weekly range also do not fall into my criteria for 4H swing trading. The H1 ATR(100) is about 10pips.
There is a trend in every timeframe and the UJ swings in H1 is just too narrow for my style of trading. You can trade H1 against the Primary Trend and it won't make much sense trading this low volatility pair unless you are an experienced scalper with deadly accuracy.

Market Trends:
Decide which is your Primary Trend when you want to trade.
