I had read the readme files and pdf. They were helpful in the installation but I maybe missed something because the symbol box is empty but the alerts still work for the symbol and time frame that I'm currently working in.

So why don't you tell us what settings you are using?

From the pdf/txt document:

Symbol Settings
Symbol List=EURUSD,EURJPY Comma separated list of symbols to monitor, without the brokers prefix and suffix.
Symbol Suffix= Broker symbol suffix. Ex m for EURUSDm.
Symbol Prefix= Broker symbol prefix. Ex fx_ for fx_EURUSD

Sorry to have wasted your time. The symbols are in the readme as they came, just as you have them above but I don't know how to set them for the window.
Thanks for your time, I'll work it out eventually.

  1. Put the indicator on the chart.
  2. In the dialog box that shows, select the inputs tab.
  3. Click in the input box next to the 'Symbol List' parameter and enter the list of the currency pairs you want to monitor, with a comma after each pair.
  4. Click the OK button.

You can also open the indicator parameter dialog by pressing CTRL-I and selecting the indicator from the popup list, or right click on the chart and select the 'indicator List' menu item.

I believe there is a version of the ASCTrend1i Arrow indicator with alerts on the Genesis Matrix Thread.

I'm afraid you will have to look for it yourself as I do not have a link to it. One can use the attachments link on the top of the thread page to narrow down the search or do a regular search on the thread.

Can you explain me about Alert.Matrixline mean? Default is 0.

But I alway got a error message form this indicator: ASCTrend1i.ex4 not found. I guess this path just use at old version of MT4

Why are you using the old indicators instead of the indicators for build 600+?

Thanks for the GMTS. By the way, last time the EUR/USD built a pyramid... and I hope it will build once again A new harmonic pattern it seems

Hi Xaphod

Just wondering do you know of, or can you make, a Stoch-MTF indicator that allows the user to input any timeframe they want, not just the currently specified timeframes?

You can input any timeframe with the old (build 509) version of the Stoch-MTF indicator. It is included in the Stoch-MTF zip file provided on the first page.

In order to use it with a current version of MT4, you will either have to compile it with a pre build 600 version of MT4 and use the ex4 file, or you can upgrade it so it compiles in a current version of MT4.

There is a thread here on platform tech that describes how to compile MT4 indicators with a pre build 600 MT4.

There is a utility program on my website that you can use to upgrade most of my old (build 509-) indicators so they compile and run in a current version of MT4: 'UpgradeParameterVars.exe'. A link to my website can be found on my profile page.

Hi Xaphod, I've installed MT4 840 and copied the Stoch-MTF, but when I open the charts it only draws from the time chart was opened and no history. Can you please assist.

Some things you can do:
Try switching to a different timeframe and back.
Make sure you are using the current/latest version.
Delete the ex4 file and restart to force MT4 to recompile the indicator.

Hi xaphod. Thank you for your continuous support, especially when it involves the indicators you created.

I found your Stoch tape is very helpful. I found it hard to understand at first, but a bit of tinkering found me THE WAY i wanted to use it.

At first, i only want:

  1. when the %k is in upper 50 level of the stoch - buy
  2. lower 50 level - sell


So, i need the tape only one colour each when it above/and another colour when below 50 level. The slope direction doesn't count in my strategy. So i did this:
