Well mate...as far as these 'gulu' posts have meaning and gives you hints, ideas before the move happens (so no hindsights), I have no problem with them. An idea, trading plan, thought would be very nice from you either. The meaningful, trading related posts are very welcome, while the usual muppet/guru/etc comments are...well .

was also a bullish Gartley pattern which advance traders put 2 orders so it didn't matter where the market went bullish or bearish

Not so sure parity has vanished. What I'm trying to figure out is whether this bullishness that we have been seeing in the techs since the monthly engulfing bar in April is a trend change or just profit taking ( with an attempt to take it a the best price possible - even up to 1.18 -1.2) before the next leg down.

I can't really find any justification for it being a trend change. If, as KenA pointed out, the party in equities had a damper put on it by China in spite of the ECB QE, then, since the relationship was inverse between equities and the EURUSD after the ECB QE, it makes sense for the EURUSD to have stopped going down.

But - what are the scenarios that can happen in the future?

1) FED keeps rates on hold and the party in equities resumes, maybe a bit less exuberantly - a slow grind up. That should equal a slow grind down in the EURUSD if things keep working as they did (with the EUR being the funding currency).

2) Fed eventually raises rates (sometime between Dec and March) and market corrects sharply. If the correction is severe enough and the market gets below where it was when the ECB rally started, the flows for the EURUSD should go back to the way they were - i.e to a positive correlation between equities and the EURUSD - a flight to safety in the dollar.

Either one is bearish EURUSD, which would make this area just a very large bear flag on the monthly, instead of the beginning of a new swing up
