Some positive news at last...I have received the Application for Compensation form from the FSCS to complete and send back...the wheels are slowly turning...

However, I had to phone in and request that the form be emailed to me as the postal service doesn't work too well here in South Africa...

I have got the following reply from FSCS:

"Thank you for your recent correspondence about your claim for compensation against Alpari (UK) Limited.
I can confirm that FSCS has received your details. We have an agreed balance and the account has been verified by the JSA for money laundering regulations. We hope to be able to make a payment to you in the near future"


Still no money, no estimated date, more than 9 months waiting... frustrating....

Keeping calling and emailing periodically. Is is your money.

I got today the paper form from FSCS by yellow post.


I am going to send it back with the requested information and signed.


Is someone out there who can say how long it will take to finaly receive the money from FSCS?

I received my forms by post on Friday. Sent it all back, now have to wait and see when they pay out

OMG i Cant believe people are still waiting for their funds

LOL, I noticed only last week that I didn't assign the claim towards FSCS, after inquiring with JSA. FSCS representative sent my the form per e-mail, signed it, scanned it and sent back by e-mail, all within 24h, so now just waiting.​

I got my funds back in the summer.
Anyway seems alpari is back, saw an add just now.

The Russian mother company never ceased business, that's all. There is no resurrection of alpari UK and therefore no alpari with any proper deposit insurance scheme.

What a load of idiots at FSCS are
1 July I contacted the FSCS and was told I would receive the out standing money within 2 weeks
2 Contacted them 2 weeks later they said I had 2 account one which had zero money it, they would send me a form to fill in
3 The forms arrived with part b missing
4 I contacted them and they said no problem just fill in the form part b wasn't required
5 ,6 7 and 8 phoned them first they would send another form then they said it wasn't necessary ,then the said it was then they said it wasn't
9 2 days after the lady had FSCS had told me my claim was going through I received the form again to fill in.
I can't understand how a company dealing in such large amounts can be so disorganised

For those with hope:
I have been paid in full by FSCS 2 days ago.
At the SNB event mid January 2015 I was not involved in CHF trades ( not even in any trades that precise date).
Living overseas outside EEC.
Claim transfered from KPMG to FSCS in time. (thanks Neoxis)
Name at the end of the alphabet.
Keep hoping as FSCS is still overloaded...

Tomcat, thanks for posting Tomcat. Some clarifications would be greatly appreciated:

Was this your first and therefore only payment by FSCS?
Had you received any payment from KPMG before this payment?
You lived outside the EEC, so did you have to complete a hardcopy form or was your claim handled through the KPMG claim portal?
You said your claim was transfered from KPMG to FSCS in time. What does that mean (in time)?

Was this your first and therefore only payment by FSCS? Ans: Yes, one payment covering the complete claim, with cents!
Had you received any payment from KPMG before this payment? Ans: No payment from KPMG before.
You lived outside the EEC, so did you have to complete a hardcopy form or was your claim handled through the KPMG claim portal? Ans: No hardcopy, claim via the" portal".
You said your claim was transfered from KPMG to FSCS in time. What does that mean (in time)? Ans: On my request claim transfered from KPMG to FSCS on april 2014.

Just got a mail from Nathan George of FSCS informing me that i will be paid the remaining money within the next 14 days. I have received 50000 pounds equivalent in June. He is the Legal Recoveries Associate.

Hi all,
Just received the payment in full today (only one cent less than the agreed amount in USD) from fscs (less than 50K pound).
For those who haven't received it, keep your hope up.
From my experience, it's best to send [email protected] stating your frustrations ... then your case will get into escalation team to handle. Keep pressing them till the payment comes
I called fscs almost weekly until my case is handled by the escalation team.

I think it's safe to put more than 50k pound into a broker. Now we know the procedure: say i have 100k in sterling when a broker goes under
1. we get up to 50k from fscs
2. then fscs receives 50k from JSA (50cent for a sterling after all the admin cost )
3. fscs sends that 50k to client
Any thing wrong with the above math?

I saw information today stating you have to file request to return funds no later than October 30.
So, if you haven't filed you need to do it ASAP.
