Hi guys, is it Unemployment Claims better than expectation make USD/JPY going up? so what do you think about the chance that FED increase interest rate this year?

Looks like its going up scalping ... Looking for entry 118.97-82 ... Lets see ..

Edit : No more long .. waiting to confirm for short ..
USDJPY managed to form a positive day reversal after a test of the 188 level. A daily closing tonight above 119,17 could confirm a s/t bottom!!
Overall the dollar is however still interior the big inside day/ inside week with 122,15 – 116,05 still the levels to follow in the coming hours; it is now 39 days that we’re consolidating interior this range!!
The indicators of the daily chart are still well negative but those of the s/t charts turned all above the line following the rebound. The drop formed however clear bullish divergences suggesting that the present rebound is corrective. I suggest now waiting for a possible extension of the retracement toward the 200 hours lie at 119,78 to sell!!
I sell a 119,70 overshooting!!

....once upon a time there was a thing called inflation. Some people were greedy and leveraged their grandmother's ashes to sell you a pig.

Then it all went wrong.

...rate rise? I used to believe it was coming. (yes ..really )

Nowadays..... when it happens, react. Otherwise assume nothing will change, at least until Europe and China are working properly again.


edit: the more major concern at the moment is whether the US government debt ceiling will be raised above $18.1trn

It's profit taking Friday again, probably it will keep the pair above 119.00 level. The immediate resistance level can be seen at 119.40, break above it could lead to 120.00 level.
