USDCHF week 42 H4 12 Oct:

There was a H4 setup candle APB#1 but the next candle did not run....
if we expect that each swing to run 3 to 8 candles,
then look for A+++ trade setups.

Another example of sideways market type seen with H4 big candle Wide Range Bar WRB.

Thanks Emmanuel on the clarification on GU. Yes I am watching on this pair, D chart bullish is having a hook down.

Hi Emmanuel,

I was in this right at the 1st APB you mentioned; we just got a nice pop on this, I am finding it easier to exit a bad trade and am a little stuck on staying in the good ones; where would you exit this one?

Hi Derek,

Where you exit depends on
Which timeframe do you trade? Intraday H1/M15 or 4H swing on H4 or Position Trading on D1.

Stop Loss, Take Profits, Trailing Stops, Jumping Stops, etc. are all Exits.
What is the Exit Strategy for your trading system? This will define how you set your SL, TPs, TSL, JSL, etc.
In Van tharp trading system development, we learned there are different types of exits.
Types of exits:
1) Static Exit when SL and/or TP(s) hit.
2) Adaptive Exit when Percentage of ATR reached, R-Multiple reached, etc.
3) Trade Invalidation Exit.
4) Timed Exit, when the trade has exceeded its predetermine duration, no matter the trade result.
5) Psychological Exit.... mental exhaustion of the trader.

'set and forget' works best for 1) Static Exits and also 2) if we know how to.

It is important to know the average trading range of the timeframe you trade. Also if the pair is trending or sideways ranging.

It is support and resistance play and how buyers and sellers (the market) react at psychological level BRN 1.5300....

my H4closed one hour ago . but it is 3rd candle so i did not sell this. but if it break down 1.53 i shall sell small lot.

look at H1 or m15 to see how the price hit 1.5300 and pulled back.

trade H1 or M15 for a small trade.

Hi,

The weekly is bearish and I don't see D as reversal yet. May take another 1 to 2 D candles to show a good bullish price action.
Meantime, trade H4 and H1, there is enough volatility in this pair for 50 to 100pips in one session.

Good spot. How do you find this?
Considering this is on the H4, how would you decided your exit strategy? Like described for TMS, when the first signs of a reveral appear on the chart? Or do you use a specific amount of pips?
