Is GBP/AUD driving A/U up? G/A has dropped 174 pips in the last 6 hrs per FF. G/A approaching possible support on the daily chart.

As we welcome the weekends, this is how the weekly candle looks like currently. The most bullish candle one can ever find in years. .74 is a stone throw away from current levels. Whether it hits it and beyond is really up to anyone's imagination. Don't be in a rush to short it as well. Wait for confirmation first.

I look forward to another good week of earnings next week!

Hi SkyrEK, you seem to know a fair amount about this... which is awesome, can I ask for your prediction as to where the Aud may sit at the end of this year? Or even better, where do you think it will sit in a months time?

The weekly candle does look very bullish, but there's also a significant resistance at 0.7360. I'll wait and see whether it will break above that level before I open new long positions next week.

That's a contrarian indicator! If most are short, I know I'm probably right going long.

Thanks for the prediction, i really appreciate it! I'm heading over to the US from Australia for a holiday at the end of this month until the end of November so I'm hoping the dollar will be as strong as possible..

Hehe just got lucky this time. You're right, its a contrarian Indicator but its also not a sure thing. I've been burnt a few times learning that.

I've closed all trades before it reached the 0.73500 mark coz of the weekend.

0.69 seems to be the bottom for the Aussie but I'd still be careful going long, as I think the RBA will cut again before end of this year. Especially if it hits 0.75.

This weeks candle is better from open to close (just) compared to 1st week of August 2013 but 2013 one had higher range.

Bulls will be hoping for a different outcome in the coming weeks to what happened in 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of August 2013.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Thinking it will hit .7700, without going under .7150

97% certain of it.

Even higher possibly. Some very strong confluence levels just below .7900

We have the 23.6% retracement of 1.1080 to .6900 coming in at .7891
We have the 76.4% retracement of .8162 to .6900 coming in at .7866
We have the 261.8% extension of .7279 to .6935 coming in at .7834
