for 44.20 min

closed one already for 50 ticks to pay for yesterday's stops

pure technical, 5 years of downtrend and now forming a hammer on the 1year, into what has been a lifetime uptrend.
entry on the weekly and see how the rest plays out.

wish i was around from 1968-74 when it rallied about 4000%.
commodity longs are the safest trades, imo

sugar demand will always be strong as it approaches the $5-$10 range
unless we experience a crash in the money supply that would send us back to the stone ages

its unlikely to ever see under $5 (1999-2004 range), but the upside could be huge (such as the run from $1.32 to $66)

beef has been an incredible investment until recently.

i imagine it will consolidate downwards before picking up more momentum in about 2 years.

also, carry trade is bottoming in all sectors. high yield stocks (10%+) as well as high yield currencies (Turkey, Russia).
USDRUB should be headed back to 55 or lower (atm 62.50), just fell off a cliff from 66 yesterday...

then of course the Aussies and Kiwi's... all of it is bottoming at once. so perhaps carry trade is reviving. perhaps the FED will "shock everyone" and instead of hiking rates they will begin QE again... all they had to do was talk about hiking rates to get the desired effect of a stronger USD which they will use said desired effect to launch more QE..

Aussie is my biggest trade right now. Was originally taking it only .7180
but now I see it's going to head for .7400/.7500 zone before any substantial pullback.

Aussie's bottom was exactly at the Quarterly closing price for Q1 2009... perfection 6908

zzzzzzzzz

there will be buy stops triggered between .7290 and .7330 so I am looking to take profit in that range, then buy the dip off that level to take it .7500 zone

Wow! Memories of the past. Sugar was my 1st trade ever, pretty much where it's marked 1980 I went long. 1st account blown and I learned almost immediately a new term "limit down" , couldn't even get out of the contracts. Now at least you can hedge your trades on other exchanges, wasn't that easy back then.
Thanks for the memories
Without a trade plan, say bye bye to your account & hello to frustration.

hello Gator

would you consider this a valid move (and track its norm and target)?

Or there are too many intermediate lows and highs so it should not be considered as 1 move?

Thanks

until oil puts a new guy in the white house. i wouldn't be so sure about a uptrend in commodities. coming off the gold scale than the oil scale is most of the reason behind the rise. nothing can be done about the gold scale. but the oil scale has shifted in the usd's favor long term.

that's a valid move if you're looking for apples, but its not a norm move. more fibs would give you a better idea of how valid it is
