Usd/Jpy is back to its familiar range capped just below 120 level, uncertainty of its direction before Nonfarm Payrolls this Friday.

You do realize at this time of 24 hr trading cycle it will normally take 2 one hr trading bars to move a +20 pip range?

The USD/JPY is very range bound as we can see on the daily chart. The price has been oscillating around the 200 day EMA (blue line). The 119.21 is acting as a good support and the 121.00 as a good resistance. No clear direction until the pair breaks one of those levels, either to the upside or to the downside.

I was just pointing out it is the slow time of the trading day for UJ. U.S. banks closed, Tokyo just opening up not too long ago.

Also now it appears a low - short term at least on H1 chart - has been put in:

I’ve closed the transaction on usd/jpy with a profit. I think that asset will go down.

Actually its a coin flip (gambling not trading) at the moment which way break will eventually go.

I say eventually because often an initial break is a fake out.

Difficult as nobody wants to put a number to the direction, very clearly strong uptrend these past years but with an unresolved past particularly at the 110.0 on the weekly. Hmmmmm heads or tails?
