Hi Guys,


This is my first post on FF but I have been reading this thread with great interest for a couple of weeks now.

So much knowledge and effort has been shared here (for free!) that I would like to say a huge thank you - always open to learning about other Forex traders' thought processes, techniques and intuition.

It has also inspired me to begin working on my MQL coding in the hope that I can contribute back.

I wanted to forward test the Sonic R system but will be using the 1H TF as it suits my lifestyle more than lower TFs. The one thing I am finding to be lacking (and this is purely personal preference, although others may find it useful) is an alert when a candle closes above/below the dragon when previous candle was below/above.

This would give me an opportunity to analyse the setup for validity rather than watching the charts constantly (which on the 1H TF can get old real quick )

Has anyone managed to code such an addition to this system/indicator?

I will continue to read with great interest - well done all of you!

well that bunch of idiot at FOREX FACTORY have spy then if something they do not liked they ban you that all. or put you commercial welcome to FOREX FACTORY

I guess it's because OP has a paid signal service available elsewhere despite all the content of the system itself being free in this thread.

I did not know that sonic had such a service.

It also appears as though traderathome has been banned from FF. Is this due to commercial activity also?

I meant to get this posted before midnight Eastern, but I'm a few minutes late. Well, Happy 7th birthday to the SonicR thread. Unfortunately it looks more like a sad remembrance, a mere anniversary notice, than a birthday party. Some good friends I made here, and I learned a lot, both about the markets and myself. I'll always be grateful for the experience of the early days of SonicR.

Namely:
RDH
RDL
RWL
MRx
DRx
and maybe something else I am forgetting now.

If this strategy were applied to Forex futures would there be any value in monitoring the Commitment to Traders report to help forecast higher timeframe trends, similar to the way candle patterns on 4H help establish a general trading direction?
