Honestly though mate, this is a good system and works pretty well but we do need to iron out the hourly signals! Have had mixed success on hourly but daily is the way to go! Just if you do do an hourly I found the best results are if you trade with the trend by following what the 4hr and the daily is doing. Eg if daily and h4 is going on downtrend only trade the short signals on the hourly and vice versa! Dont trade the hourly in the opposite direction of the 4hr and daily! I found that even though 75% my hourly trades were profitable, the 25% of the losers wiped out the majority of my gains! Upon analysing them I found that of the 25% of my losing hourly signals, 90% of those occured when i traded against the trend of the h4 and daily! Entirely upto u bro if u want to take what i have experienced on board! Another thing set ur stops to protect the trade/position. Again i found that a 30pip stoploss on the hourly (instead of the standard 20) turned more winners because of whipsaw! On the daily on the other hand I tend to use the daily range as a guide when setting my sl and as a general rule upon entering a position i place my sl on either the previous day hi or low (subject to either going long or short). Again i have found that this protects my position from whipsaw especially on a high ranging pair like eurjpy. i have also found that low daily ranging pairs like the nzdusd works quite well on the daily and i have had great success! Mind you i am trading live accounts....no demo here! Anyway happy hunting and if you need any help please do not hesitate to ask!

Just wondering why you closed your myfxbook account. Shame really because if you exclude that 1 trade which was 94 pips in loss, that I don't think was even part of this system you were doing quite well on it.

These are my results so far this week see image below as you can see 240pips up so far this week but most of that 240 pips is traded with part lots

I like your approach and being selective is key to winning this game for sure.. I have found that if your trading the CCI on the hour it is ESSENTIAL to visit where the 4hr like you said. This is how I plan on playing it when I get the system and the system from Tmcc..

Take every daily trade with set TP/SL

Take every hourly trade, but with a caveat.

I use three different size trades.

If everything is aligned I put on full position

If two of three time-frames align, I take half size position.

If I have just one time-frame in agreement I take a quarter size..

For me, taking some trades and not taking others never worked for me, so I take them all with different size. I am much better at picking my nose than picking winners..

This ties in pefectly with your explanation of your results PhoeniGR . For me, money management is more important than any system..

I like your strategy of placing trades with regards to your set parameters! Ill give that a try aswell! Risk management is very important and for me I tend to risk 0.5% on hourly signals with a 30 pip sl and 3% on daily signal with stoploss set as discussed in previous post. the daily strike rate is pretty good hence the larger risk. Partial closing of the trade in stages is the way to go i believe with no designated end tp for the daily. IE close 50% @ 70-100pip then move sl to B/E, another 50% of balance trade @ 140-200pip and then let the balance ride it out with a 100pip trailing stop or exit entirely on crossover of +/-100 CCI.

I already Posted How to take Profit in stages in the membership.

You get the EA with the settings. Closing lots out and bring stop to break even and then trailing the rest of the lots left.

Where are your 25 % Losers??
I don't See any on the 1 hour Eurjpy Chart I posted above, and that's all week.
And What Day And Time were you doing them are you following the rules, how late did you go in
I have been showing all the trades every day the only losers are on Sunday, Monday, WHICH THE RULES SAY NO TRADING!
Trade Only Euro Session, If You Are Doing Some Thing Out Of The Box And Get Losses Don't Say It Here.
You will find by these questions that 25% is not that % of loss.
I have Traders saying this and then find out they are doing something I am not!!!!!
Talk to me in the membership about this.

This System Has The Rules.
If Any Trader is Trying To Change this and that and get losses, Don't post it here. Do It on your own.
I don't need Negative's here and Negative's there, because your doing things out of the Rules.

Hi Tony I am a big advocate of your system here. One thing I have noticed as i suggested to you the other day is that despite having setup cci as you have indicated, my cci differs to yours. A couple of other members have also stated this. I think it may have to do with the type of candle that each broker uses. My broker uses New York candle and it is for this reason that i have asked you to setup a demo account where we all have restricted investor access too so we can all see the difference and gain confidence in what we do. I might add that i also trade eurusd along with eurjpy. The results have been good and dont take what i have to say as negative. As you said if we all work together we can make pips. I posted my analysis and hence i am commenting on what i have done which is within your rules Tony with the exception that i use a 30pip sl not a 20 on the hourly and that i also trade eurusd. Anyway you have my number and we can talk when you are free!

Tony has mentioned trading during the European, or London session. I'm attaching a indicator that may be of help. You will have to set your own times based on your brokers feed. An easy way to set up the times is by going to Forex Factory's Market tab on the top of this page.

Hi

Yes another CCI Signal today on 1 candle only, that made 33 pips.
See where the Blue line is.
The other CCI Signal after that was after Euro Session close. Which we don't trade at that time.
If you want to trade CCI Signal at that time, its up to you, but once again like I said before, don't blame the System
when you are trading it out of the rules and get losses.

Do you open a trade as soon as the 100 is hit or do you wait till the candle is closed over the 100 and then open a trade

Hi Tony, regarding the above post - the candle open/close is 32 pips, but the signal won't occur at the open necessarily, so its not actually 32 pips made if you enter on the alert - is that right or have I missed something?

- I say this because this was a loosing trade for me, using the EA - got stopped out so I just want to see what I'm getting wrong - cheers

Now if I am looking at it I put the stop and watch it so I can take lots out, if it comes back, only if I watch it I will close it
Now that trade was when Euro was open but next one was after euro close and when it ranges it might not have volume and momentum.
That's why stay with the rules.
Trade only when euro opens and US open together. Not Sunday nights to slow and Monday, but some times Monday morning if markets are moving
its up to you.

No, the CCI only went above 100 at the close of that candle (3pm on Tallinex MT4), and then price reversed 27 pips so it hit SL - how can you say this was a good trade?
