Hey All!

First post here on FF, and i am really enjoying the learning process thus far. So far I have perused several threads and decided this one appears to be a great place for a beginner to start. I have spent the last couple months learning about different types of investing and settled on Forex as a good place to start, as I will learn things that apply to all types of investing but not be overwhelmed by trying to find new stocks to trade all the time.

Anyhow, I have read up to Pg 65 of the thread, and also the last few pages. I have been using the demo with the basic eelfranz TDI criteria, although I must be stricter on myself to follow the rules. First night was 7/7 trades and up 200 pips! Next day(after a weekend of waiting) I was pretty tired and it wasn't the best time for me to be trading.....lost all the gains by not pulling out of bad trades! More lessons learned. Yesterday I took trades and also did some literal paper trading on entry points. Took 11 setups including 5 bounce trades. Won 5/11 overall earned about 40 pips.....I also earned 125 pips overall(95 on Eur/cad!) last night, and had I not taken some poorer setups I feel like I could have kept more of them!

Anywho, I am in search of the ideal setup of course, and will read this entire thread, but if anyone can point me in the direction of the major update post numbers that I see people referring to that will give me better success it will be much appreciated!

Tip: If you are trading EURGBP watch GBPUSD and EURUSD. If they are moving in different directions EURGBP will move as well

GBPCAD update 24 Sep:

Market did not manage to close below that 'support' zone. The BRN 2.0300 holding well.
With that CAD retail data release 'big candle', we should avoid trading the H4 and better to look for trades in H1 and M15. The Day bias is sell, so we sell at a high level... resistance level.

Do not overload your TMS Monitor with too many pairs. Can be a burden on your CPU.
Just those pairs you trade and want receive alert.
I have a template for the 15 pairs.

I took 3 trades after LO, and I managed to make a profit of 50 pips on 3 pairs, on M15:

These two were winners. The third one was a loser, EUR/CAD, because I ended the transaction upon seeing TDI changing the slope . Then it resumed direction and it would have been a winner also, if I'd stayed in. I exited with a loss of about 5 pips.

Overall, 5 pips minus, 55 pips gained, 50 pips profit in half an hour. Things are starting to improve a little. Green pips to everyone!
