From time to time we tweak things but the overall methodology remains the same
All I did was take your simple idea and trade it in strong trends where the flags become obvious and the winners bigger because of the strong trend...
Its as simple as that Harold, find a strong trend and trade the flags, abcds, pullbacks etc etc..
So thanks to you planting that seed I'm where I am today, very happy with my trading strategy...

Reading your posts here as well as some other people is a very pleasant and enlightening experience so please again accept my apologies. I had great success with your system last week so I will continue to study it, it fits me, especially my time schedule as after London Open I have less time to take a trade. And btw. do you still use 10 pips stoploss? Coz on this screen this stoploss had to be bigger than that.
People stop postin "improvements" please. If you wanna do then start your own thread as Clive gave you permission to use his knowledge. But don't ruin this thread.I'm sure if Clive would like to add anythin spicey he would do it! I gotta say from start of this thread I can see how much passionate was Clive about it. And I hope it's stays the way it's. Clive, I understand the time consumption. But you can always post few setups at the weekend. No biggie. I at least hope so.
I would like to congrats you to stay in the right path and I can see you start to realize you made it. I'm really happy about you. I'm in a really bad life situation and don't know if I can win this fight. I certainly know there's chance this could be the one of the last things I'll ever write. OK I think I understand what you are saying?? But just to check my understanding, are you saying that there are plenty of CCI signals that don't work and how can we differentiate the good from the bad?? If that is your question then I have two answers for you, the first one is very easy...
Only trade charts from the 5 minute top trender, top 4 maybe even just the top 2 to start with because you will find that most of the CCI turns back with the strong 5 minute trends work out fine on the top two trenders. Avoid entries like the one you refer to as that was me being an opportunist very early in the new uptrend. Of course it is the setup that I refer to a lot , but it also can fail as the 5 minute trend is not truely set at this early stage in the new uptrend. This worked out fine for me giving me 35 pips but it is a risky entry than the top trenders. And just to prove that piont just after I banked it plummeted 70 pips in about 3 mins, see chart below.
But of course they don't all workout so the 2nd part that I would add to differentiate the bad CCI signals from the good is to have a 10 pip stop in place so that your losers are smaller than your winners, thats good money management. We can't fix the size of our winners as thats down to the market to give us what its gonna give us, however we can always fix our losers at 10 pips. You suggest my trade doesn't work on 10 pips but in fact after my entry it just went straight up never looking back at my entry so 10 pips was fine, however, having said that I do agree that GBPNZD is a bit feisty so I usually drop a 20 pip emergency stop in place but its rarely hit because if it does go against me I exit soon as I can usually around the 10 pip mark...
Lastly when taking CCI signals I do try to identify a key level for them to come off of like a 25 level or the 175 or 35 lwma or previous support/resistance. I will mark these levels out as price moves around them so I can easily see the ones I want..
However all that said the easiest thing to do is have the TTindy set to only open the top four trenders that way you will only be looking at awesome charts trending your way. Then you will find the vast majority of your trades will work and the odd losers only giving 10 pips away...
Hope that helps my friend and somehow alleviates you from the situation you currently find yourself in...
