Ok, Now it is the time to tell you how to deal with this important event....

1- you could stay away and look how will it go ... 1/2 hour after the event you can get your decision.

2- you could open 2 trades 5 min. before the event release, one is buy one is sell. No ST with 10 pips TP. both trades will get its TP. you will not take the whole benefits from the event ... but too you will not take the risk.

3- open 2 bending trades so far from the current prices one is to sell if the price went up a lot and the other is to buy from deeps and make use of the corrections.

4- take the full risk and choose your direction and open the trades...

which point you will choose?????

In your option 2 how you make 10 pip profit when your spread will be like 20+

ill do it like this.

1. wait for the rate release (not tradeable)
2. check the dots. curr median 0.625 expected to go lower.
3. check the minutes, inflation(transitory effects((oil,china)),labor market
4. conference.

a. hike(25bp) + no change in the dots indicating a second hike this year...vely vely bull usd
b. no hike + lower median - bealish usd, kicking the ken
c. hike <15bp and higher or lower median - symbolic hike choppy tlade weak bull usd
d. no hike unchanged median - watch statement dov or hawk, does it indicate oct hike, transitory effects,labor market?

mashines will trade the release. you have 30sec up to 3 min time to make your analysis.

Content to let the dust settle for the rest of the day.

Playing the FOMC is the same as playing either red/black in roulette, with the difference being a much higher probability of a green 0/00 stopout either way.

Hi mate,

am doing it exactly the other way around . Hoping they chicken out and Eur will be used as a funding currency for Equities bull move. Would be buy on stocks and Eur sell. But am keeping it pretty tight, no need to get spanked. Good luck .

Edit: Also bought little SaP for target 2035. Sell limit trigger on 2061 would be perf, but as said, got no clue.
