Hi Emmanuel
In light of Thurs Feds fireworks your question is little ambiguous.I do believe buy low sell high but more important is what level low/high is.
Thurs Feds can surprise the market by raising IR and GU can actually dive to 1.50 even test 1.48-46
So buying now to me is premature and selling also premature in light of biggest feds meeting in 9years.

GBPUSD and GBPJPY both pair have narrow range TOK_5H below 30pips. These are good for breakout and possible reversal later should the first breakout fails to run. Have a Plan A and a Plan B.

Try it on demo.

It is so clear now.... I didn't do my home work...
The 11/09 IB in D1 so we have a clear Support and have to wait the break out to go short.

After the D1 tdi went out the VB, the price came back inside it. We have often a consolidation period in those cases which is confirmed by the 11/09 IB in D1.
the MC created the S/R so we could only operate in lower tf as h4 and h1.
D1 and H4 are in down trend so I would only look for short but the price is on the MC support so no trade today waiting for D1 MC break out.

Yup. Both GBPUSD and GBPJPY have the same consolidation seen on D1 charts.
That's why we look at buy at the MC Low and using the narrow range TOK_5H as the breakout setup.
Both worked out nicely just a matter of waiting for the news event.

Lookleft Nice trade.

I tried to use CM and set the Capital Protection option 'NOLoseAfter' to 25 pips.

First position closed after hitting the First TP of 25 pips and moved another 10 pips up. Isn't supposed to move the Initial SL to BE since it has moved 25 pips?

My bad, I had a look at it after I sent the message. It is mentioned I wont be able to see this on the chart rather on the status menu. I have a trade opened now, will check it and come back to you if I see any issues.

Always check the price action and support and resistance before you take a TDI cross trade.

Hi Folks,

Thanks to those of you who replied that post and shared your experience.
I still get PMs asking me for the correct answer to this post above.

The answer has been posted Post#60,550. If you looked closely there is '647' in that picture.

Post#647 important because those are the questions we must ask every time we see a 5-Method trade setups.

There are a lot of different experience shared by different members here.
Different things being mentioned:
- TDI OverBought/OverSold OB/OS level 68/32\
- TDI angle/ slope
- use of the TDI Market base Line MBL
- use of the TDI Volatility Band VB
- how to read market trend e.g. HH, Hl and LL,LL, etc.
- use of 10EMA, 50EMA and 200EMA
- use the Big Round Number of the price.
- Price / TDI Divergence
- chart patterns - ABCD, 123, et.c
- timing of the market for trade entry and exit like Big E

All these are good. But what is important is that no two traders are the same. Therefore you as the trader need to formulate your own rules for entry and exit based on your own level of knowledge and experience, also your temperament and risk appetite. test your rules in back-testing and then test them in forward testing in live market conditions. Know the kind of discipline you will need to have to achieve consistency in trade results. Develop your mental strength to discipline yourself.
Having the right discipline is key and it will form your edge to be a winning trader. There are also other things which you need to do to have that winning EDGE. Money management is another part which will be in your winning EDGE.

About using post#647, you need to test yourself and answer each of the question. Use that post#647 as a checklist every time your look at your chart and prepare a trading plan. Remember the 10 things which you need to have skills in.

Hope everyone's trades are going well this week. I'm now experimenting by adding the Volatility Bands and the Market Base Line to my TDI and so far it's been good.
One thing I like is when the green TDI line pierces and breaks through the blue Volatility bands during a trade. It helps you and gives you the confidence to stay in the trade

I'm also back to trading only these 4H pairs for now:

AUDUSD
NZDUSD
EURUSD
USDJPY
GBPUSD
USDCAD
EURJPY
EURGBP
USDCHF
GBPJPY

Thanks to the TMS method I managed to take +72 pips profit last night from GBPJPY during the US session.

Thanks Emmanuel. I think I am still over-leveraging. I still am trying to figure out my trading edge, and have so many mistakes in being caught in the range. I will stick by my plan in Day and H4 trading which I have profited well but it takes a lot of time and patience to wait for the candle to form its direction on day. I am being too impatient throughout this trading journey.

I was reading on the GU and EU posts, on day chart, it has formed a day bullish candle, but due to the great big news today, is it still too early?
