These are the trades for me. I didn't trade on Mon due to US/Canada Holiday. From Tues to Fri seven trades. Six winners and one small loser Wed. The analysis were ok, just the SL was small so price hit the SL. Re-enter and cover the loss in same trade. All together very good week. Pip count is 441. I see TSS has done great last week and captured some big moves specially (240 pips)--Congrats...

Hi Emmanuel,

-The first cross coming down from 68 level has a good chance to be a fake out, I would probably wait to follow the second cross and look for bearish divergence
-the yellow MBL is still having an upward slope.

Anything else you can share?

Hi Emmanuel

Thank you very much for taking your time and helping newbies like me to learn the system. Honestly speaking, I would have taken the trade. My basis would be:
- previous support turned into resistance
- resistance confluence with BN 186.0
- Very good angle

Basis against the trade would be strong daily up trend?

It is good that your are reading Big E' post. I am doing that over and over again. Every time I re-read the same posts, I pick out something which I missed the previous times I read.

This is an important post above quoted by Alan which will differentiate the 5-Method traders we have in FF.
The questions many would ask:
- how do you measure the level of experience?
- can experience be measured in term of hours?
- what type of knowledge does one need to have?

Another two important posts:
Post#6 and Post#6 ..same post number by coincidence but in different thread.

What do you spend your time in to gain experience?

Post#7702 Post#63 Post#3569 ...note the one keyword in these 3 posts. It is an important knowledge you need to have.

These will be enough for your weekend homework which you need to do a your back-testing to gain experience.

green is upper yellow MBL
We should avoid in this situation, we must entry only long.

Hi Emmanuel, I like your posts with questions to learn better.

I just wouldn't have taken that trade at that time of the day 22:00 GMT I think.
Because Big E wrote that he searched for trade setups at 10:00 p.m. and 02.00 a.m. pacific time which is 06:00 GMT and 10:00 GMT.

I'm not sure but I also think price has broken a resistance level and it became support.

That was a great week , your trading is neat, very good , capturing the direction of the market comes only from hard work done to learn TMS , PA etc well done and good luck next week

Hi,

I am trying to pay more attention to details on my charts and when I opened the GBPJPY 4H Chart on my platform I noticed some things.

I remember Emmanuel's advice on the Synergy Pro TDI:

I know that in this case the indicator is the TDI Realtime. Could anyone point out the differences between these two indicators?

As you can see in the chart attached. With my replicated Synergy PRO, I drew two lines on crosses of strong bars with small wicks. It appears that their TDI angle is much less convincing than Emmanuel's chart. Perhaps this one uses EMA[2] of RSI?

MPL Was coming out of VB's -> Possible consolidation ?
Combine with end of London Session -> Liquidity dries up / Profittaking ?

On a GJ pair when all the TSM conditions are met except the below, what would be your approach?

There is more than 60 pips to the outside channel to set the SL, and only 30 pips to next BRN/RN/50,200 ema.

Would you take this trade as the risk is 1:2 as you are getting only 30 pips initially. I believe the pairs like GJ, EC, GC etc. we would end up in this situation.

Is it Ok to take this trade in the hope that price will break the BRN/other resistances and move ahead?

Hi Emmanuel7788,

From what I see Price is making HL/HH and TDI cross is happening in OB area. In order for me to take this trade i need to see some confirmation such as divergence, ABCD/123 pattern, Break of previous low etc. The green crossing red below but MBL line is still below. These are sufficient evidence to keep one away.

Hi rabhni,
Regardless of the pair I regard BRN's as important. As a rough rule of thumb, if price has been rejected twice or more from the same point it can be regarded as S/R. If you extend a line from a BRN/RN and see that price has been rejected there twice or more, what is the chance of it happening again?. As you gain experience you will also see that some pairs respect BRN/RN more than others. I don't trade the pairs you mentioned very often as the spread is too big for my liking.
As for the second part of you post. If there is a valid setup and there is enough room and a decent R:R I will take the trade. However, I would watch very closely what happens at the BRN/RN and obviously at some time price is going to break the BRN/RN or we would spend the rest of our lives trading in a 100 pip range
Another technique I use is to wait until price has broken through the BRN/RN with good momentum and then enter. If a price on H1 stalls at a BRN/RN I may exit the trade and drop down to the M15 to see if there is a valid re-entry if price breaks the BRN/RN.
As you can see I'm a great believer in the power of BRN/RN knowing how big institutions use them (I used to work for one so have first hand knowledge). To me the best trade is where PA and TDI give a valid entry at a BRN and there is nothing in the way until the next BRN/RN, almost a guaranteed 50/100 pips
