The Dax is very much moving like it did at the start of the year, just stepping higher and higher with no decent pullbacks today (aside from Frankfurt initial open).

I still think the Dax will move between the 1x1 Gann Fan and 1x2 Gann Fan as per attached, so I think the upside is limited to around 10,500 over the next couple of days, but by the end of this calendar year we could be close to 11300 again.

Let's hope it just gradually moves up each day, makes it easier to take those ticks every morning

If there is no hike in interest rates and China supports stock market then we definitely see 11,300 before the end of this year. Remember though that options expire next Friday which is the 3rd Friday of this Calendar month for which options expire on.

I think it's 50/50 whether we return to those levels, and even if we do, that doesn't rule out future heavy selling. At the moment all looks bullish again and the technicals on H4 look set to push the price up to 10,600 or so before we find some real resistance. Once this current pull back is done however, we could easily see a resumption of the selling because longer term we are still hugely overbought, way way above the monthly 200ema which the price sooner or later always comes back to.

If you look back to 2008, we had a very severe drop which started the rot, followed by a pretty bearish looking candle in Feb, then a hammer in March, followed by positive candles for April and May, then a very full negative candle for June. July was a positive Hammer, and August was a negative Doji, after which it fell off a cliff. The point is, we are far from done, so best to keep an eye on those weekly and monthly candles. Personally, although I'm in and out of trades on the small TFs, I like to keep abreast with the bigger picture, and although we are currently nice and bullish for the next day or so, I see a resumption of the selling and a big fall building. If I was an investor instead of a trader, I wouldn't be anywhere near stock markets at the moment.

Maybe a retracement to be accounted for by the monthly bar before it's going into the short
FXcube.

GM - the 50% retrace of the fall from the August high is at 10,517. This morning's high so far is at 10,517.

If we take the fall from the July High, then the 50% is at 10,568. Above that we have the July Low at 10,652

All of these levels are less than 190 pts from today's open - the current 5 day ADR is 220 pts

After the news from JApan of a reduction in corporate tax, the Nikkei is up 5.6%, the Dow up 155 pts from its close and so is the Dax.....half an hour till XO.....

NB The 50% from the April ATH is at 10,884

PS I'm long after the initial PB - SL now +20

H4 200ema sitting right on top of 10,600 is going to be a big resistance level to break. I'd be surprised if we don't get there and it could well be a great place to short. Alternatively, the Daily is looking strong with MACD rising from -300, so we could merely pull back from 600 before the next leg up towards 11,000. We could also just blast on through 600, so we'll just have to see.

SP500 in uptrend (M15-M5) euro reversed to the upside @ .618 Fibo (7/20-8/24)

judging by the euro move, looking for a break to the downside of the range, though coming in this morning i had a bullish bias with a 10, 652 target.
