For planning purposes, Monday may be interesting. UK has a bank holiday. Florida may be dealing with Hurricane Erika, with new forecast putting it just off the coastline at 8AM EDT on Monday, then tracking up the coast, which gives it more warm water to recharge (storms dissapate either over land as they lose humidity due to rain discharge, or from shear winds that break them apart). Erika is not supposed to be that strong, but all Hurricanes cause damage, which impacts some parts of equities market historically.

its probably not bullish w/o 1237 or higher closes.. 1249 another and so forth.. lots of R here.. and 1209 support.... it may be popcorn time

Except (regarding the oil/no oil argument)

1) Israel received aid both before and after it gave up the oil

2) US aid to Israel, while it is a lot of money, is only 1.2% to 1.5% of our GDP (and about 0.016% of the US GDP) - not really enough to effect the oil/no oil issue

3) A lot of it has been in the form of loans (which we pay back) or loan guarantees which the US would only be on the hook for if we don't pay back our loans (which we do), i.e this part of the aid also has little or no effect on the oil/no oil issue

4) It's almost all military aid, and comes with the provision that we have to spend 75% of it in the US. That part of it actually functions as a kind of support for/subsidy of the US military industries. This provision actually has the effect of suppressing our own military industries development to a certain extent, and this is one area where we do
have a 'natural' competitive advantage when it comes to manufacturing something - i.e works against the oil/no oil
argument.

When we discovered large offshore deposits of natural gas a few years ago, some economists here were actually arguing that this would be bad for us in the long term because it would suppress our need to innovate.

u.s. military is not free. its not paid for from other countries. it allows those other countries to benefit by not having much more of their gdp toward defence. it frees money up for more social programs such as education. indirectly/directly they all benefit from u.s. defence and will benefit more with less oil expense for u.s. they will benefit themselves since they are not producers because it flows freely to them. the first country to get its valve closed is israel w/o the big brother benefit.

If it breaks 1125 then 1.1 is the last hope for bull. If hole come out with big blow again I will be looking for 1.05 again
