Sorry I meant to ask is it a negative correlation e.g. if DAX is going up, would that mean investor sentiment is high therefore EURO down being a safe haven and vice versa?

EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.1449, with immediate resistance at 1.1466, and then at 1.1499(day's high)
Supports on the downside are located at 1.1384(session low Aug 24) and further below at 1.1340 (4h Tenkan-Sen)
Momentum is bullish, talk of a 1.1500 option barrier causing slight hesitation

Good to buy dips around 1.1400, SL: 1.1380, TP: 1.1490

ez money from relaxed monetary policy encouraged risk taking. some from japan and euro zone. those investments/markets are tanking. some were made in the u.s. those u.s. investments sold will will come back to japan or ez.. converted back to yen or euro, creating demand on those places bringing home investments to local currency. as markets tank it may continue until those conversions equalize to u.s. conversions. its probably showing that more euros and yen have come to u.s. for investment then from the u.s. to japan or europe. or at least less is coming back to the u.s. when this stops it will equalize and probably flow hard the other way. exports will be hurt for these gaining strength.

The EUR has become a funding currency which means investors worldwide have borrowed euros because of the low interest rates and used them to purchase "risky" assets such as stocks. The unwinding of risky assets long positions which is happening at this time means also unwinding related currency positions which is putting upward pressure on the EURO. So in essence stock indicies like the DAX are almost perfectly (negatively) correlated with the EURO at the moment.
